T he success or failures of the Christians, depend upon habits learned with in that first year after getting save. One of the greatest obstacles to a new Christians is bad marriage, mismatch marriage. Getting married base on the old perceptions that they had before getting save.
Falling in love is not an evidence that this is the correct person God has in stores for you.
After a person get save, they will need to find out from the lord what is their calling? or what the lord save them to do! this will unfold to you in months to come naturally, however, if you seek the lord to reveal them, he will.
You will need to know what spiritual gifts you have! You will need to know these before you begin to seek a spouse. Your spouse must have the same calling and same kind of spiritual gifts. For example, you are call to be a pastor and they are call to be a pastor also.
When the lord save a person the Holy Spirit is going to give you gifts, these are supernatural abilities that you never have since you were born. When we were born naturally. You were born with natural ability, liking singing writing and so on, things that you did not learn. The same thing happen when you are born again. Are become a Christians by the new birth.
When a person became a Christians, you are brought into a new community, a new world. You will need to learn the secrets of the new community that you are in. Here the scriptures teaches that you must read, not only read, but give yourself wholly to it.
1Timothy 4:13-AV Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Timothy 4:14-AV Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 1Timothy 4:15-AV Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 1Timothy 4:16-AV Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Not every body here in the church is how they profess to be You are going to find people here preaching Jesus and do not even believe in him. Some have PhD and do not even believe in God.
They turn the whole God thing into one big business, they only concern about how you act, so as not to give them a bad name by your behaviour in public, but they do not care otherwise.
Psalms 142:4-AV I looked on [my] right hand, and beheld, but [there was] no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
You are going to find people in the church as lawless as some who are not in the church. Some are truce breakers. You cannot make any contract with them. Some people words have no honor.
You cannot get married to any and any body, base on looks, body shape, sound of the voice, the way the person get into spirit, or manifest in the spirit. You cannot marry somebody that have a spiritual gift that seem to conflict with your own. Conflict with your own, do not mean that the gift is bad. The lord want some of us to go to distant land with His word, while he want some of us to stay. If you get the calling to go, you have to marry to somebody who also get the calling to go.
WHAT I MEAN BY CONFLICT OF CALLINGS AND GIFTS:
For example, you are call to be a pastor, and your spouse is call to be a missionary. A pastor is a stationary person, one who might not migrate for forty years. A missionary always moving, and always on the move. When pastors married to missionary, and time came to move un, problem arises. The same things with the gifts of the spirit, you might have the gift of help, while your spouse is a mean person, tight handed, tight wad a miser. You gift of help is only going to cause trouble in the marriage. Because you keep giving and receiving and a unkind person do not believe in giving. I know that I repeat my self a lot in this article, but it is important.
1Corinthians 12:8-AV For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
The word of knowledge gift, is a revelation gift. This is what the prophets had. This gift enable you to see something happen long before it actually happen in the physical realm. If you have this gift and your spouse do not have it, they will see you as crazy.
They might challenge you, trying to prove you wrong. This is my case they do not see me as crazy any more but they challenge me, they do differently as I told them and when they get into trouble, they run back to me for help. Only to challenge me months later, always keep forgetting the past experience. Having certain gifts of the spirit, like the gift of word of knowledge, the revelations gift. This will cause some people to be scared of you, thinking that you are going to know when they live bad life. But this gift do not operate like that, you only know things when the Holy Spirit reveals it to you, through the gift.
So you will need to reach the place in God where you can identified your own calling and gifts, and be able to identified the calling and gift of the other person you are falling in love with, to see if a conflicts gifts and calling existed.
You must remember that divorce is not as permitted among born again people like it is among others people. You are into a new community now, every bad things you do and say will affect you. It is not just your affairs any more, you do not even belong to yourself any more, but to God and his church.
THE REASON WHY YOU WILL NEED THESE INFORMATION:
You will never have a successful marriage if you marriage somebody else that have a different calling from what you have.

OFFICES OF SERVICE OR MINISTRIES:
1Corinthians 12:28-AV And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 1Corinthians 12:29-AV [Are] all apostles? You will need to know if you have been called to fulfil any of these ministries mention above. The five fold ministries.
YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT THESE THINGS:
1Corinthians 12:1-AV Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 1Corinthians 12:2-AV Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 1Corinthians 12:3-AV Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1Corinthians 12:4-AV Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
THESE GIFTS ARE NOT GIVEN BY HUMAN MAGNETISM:
1Corinthians 12:5-AV And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 1Corinthians 12:6-AV And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 1Corinthians 12:7-AV But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
SUPERNATURAL GIFTS:
1Corinthians 12:8-AV For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
FOR EXAMPLE'
The word of wisdom gift is a revelations gift.
1Corinthians 12:9-AV To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1Corinthians 12:10-AV To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 1Corinthians 12:11-AV But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
BEFORE EVERY BIG DECISIONS:
When a person got save, you life is now to God, you must seek the council of God before you do any thing. Then the holy spirit will indicate to you by an inward voice, and you will get an outward confirmations. So! Wait for an inward wooing, and a outward conformation.
WAIT FOR A INWORD WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Romans 8:16-AV The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
WAIT FOR A OUTWARD CONFORMATIONS OF THE SPIRIT BY PROPHECY:
1Thessalonians 5:20-AV Despise not prophesyings.
Conclusion:
Therefore, an inward witness of the Holy Spirit, and outward conformations. Knowing your calling and gifts, also knowing the calling and gifts of the person that you are about to get into a relationship with is very important. Bad relationship, base on bad choices is the number one problem that Christians face, and are one of the main thing that bring about their backsliding from the faith.
TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD.
1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.

FINDING OUT YOUR CALLING
When I was newly save, the believers always, ask me if I know the will of God for my life! I never really know what they were talking about. Every person that was saved had a mission and a gift. However, because you are just a babe in Christ you do not know any of these. As you go on with the lord his will for you will unfolds day bay day. Do not run off and make any big commitment. Your mate has to be tailor made for you by God. You are now a citizen of heaven. Heaven does not rule by democracy. You cannot serve God with democratic mind set.
WHAT YOU MUST DROP OFF.
Hebrews 12:1 (Living Bible) Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.
Ephes. 4:31 (Living Bible) Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.
Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.
GET A GOOD BIBLE, FIND A GOOD CHURCH.
One of the best Bibles out there is the New King James Version. Dake’s annotated Bible is very good. Next, you need a living bible to make some thing simple.
Hebrews 10:25 (Living Bible) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
DROP THE BAD HABITS.
Drop the smoking, even though we cannot prove it to be a sin. You are going to be sitting down beside other church going people; they do not want to be smelling the odor from smoking on you.
PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM BEING SPOILED BY MAN.
Col. 2:8 (KJV)Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Seven Ways that People Can Spoil Christians:
1. Through philosophy (Col. 2:8)
2. Through vain deceit (Col. 2:4,8,18-19)
3. Through human traditions (Col. 2:8)
4. Through human religion and world principles contrary to the gospel (Col. 2:8,14-23; note, §Galatians 4:3)
5. Through circumcision (Col. 2:11-13; Acts 15:1; Romans 4:9-16; Galatians 5:1-11)
6. Through the law of Moses, demanding observance of the laws on meats, drinks, holy days, new moons, feasts, and sabbaths (Col. 2:14-17)
7. Through cults that puff up and imitate the gospel (Col. 2:18-23)
By all these means, unsuspecting souls are being carried off as plunder and booty by false teachers. The founders of false religions and human philosophies which pamper the flesh and give their victims elated feelings of importance make an appeal to them.
Christianity is loaded down with some false concept. Some little believe system, which are spread by false believers. One of such teaching is that you must “Look like Christians” How does Christians look? Genuine Christianity is not an external thing but of the heart and spirit.
Micah 6:8 (KJV)He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
When cults capture a newly converted Christians, the cult first job on that new believer is to close their mind. Preventing the new believer from reading any material from other churches. So that new believer will never get out of their trap.
YOUR HORMONE DOES NOT STOP WORKING WITH CHRISTIANITY.
Philip. 3:20-21 (KJV)For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Romans 8:23 (KJV) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Our bodies were not save at conversion. The work of redemption took place in your spirit man. Our body will be redeemed at the return of our lord. We are still waiting for the redemption of our body.
According to Philip 3:20-21 and Romans 8:23. You are still going to have urges. You have to present your body to the lord as a living sacrifice. Not dead one. Living sacrifice give trouble, you will have trouble keeping that body tied to the altar. However, as you and I grow in the lord what seem impossible will be quite possible.
