Bob
Our Friend from Maine, Bob is married and has three children.
Robert Maury Caldwell, is a Massachusetts native, has been an Organist for 35 years, including a year of study at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria under Oskar Peter.
Bob has been Organist at United Baptist Church since 1985.
In June 1972 he gave an Organ recital in Portland, Oregon.
He was Organist and Choir Director for five years at The First Congregational Church in Wareham (Massachusetts). During that tenure he played dedication recitals to not only a then-installed organ at that church but also at The Church of the Good Shepherd.
He appeared at several churches during his five-year sojourn in Salzburg, including Interim Organist at the Franziskanerkirche and once at the Cathedral.
While living in Salzburg, Mr. Caldwell accompanied six choruses, including the Radio Choir, and he was Resident Accompanist / Coach and a Piano Instructor at the Salzburger Musikschulwerk.
Bob holds a B.A. in Mathematics / Secondary Education from Bridgewater (Massachusetts) State College.
After studying Organ and Choral Conducting for one year apiece at the Mozarteum, he earned his M.M. in Choral Conducting at New England Conservatory, where he first met his wife, Anne (Finley). Married in 1984 at St. Patrick's, they have one daughter and two sons.
