Well, Chris got back to Saskatoon on Friday afternoon after a week away. Hence he didn't have time to plan a youth event. So Vivienne and I took up the challenge, which is what it was. I was sure glad that Vivienne at least knew what she was doing and it made things much easier. I have to be honest, Vivienne did most of the work on this event and I appreciate all the work she did, as I know a lot of the youth did.
Once everyone got to the church we just sat around and talked and laughed for 1/2 hour and then we got paired up for the bible treasure hunt. The event was called BIBLE ADVENTURE. It sent us all around the church searching for clues which were given to us by the passages we had to read before hand. In our game we had sixteen clues and we used the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible. Well it was an interesting game to say the least. There were a few miss leading clues, a couple of clues that led to more than one spot and sometimes both spots had clues so you were then looking at the wrong clue. There was also a clue that was missing which proved interesting lol. So it came to Chris yelling "Whoever touches me first wins!" The winners were Gill and Stefi won (Congratulations Girls!) After the game we had our devotional. We went to the Clara Sinclair room and Chris asked us the question, "What has been stressing you out lately?" which in the end turned into like a two hour talk. It was GREAT though. It gave everyone a chance to express what was going on in there lives and created some discussion which was fantastic. |
