The youth group was pleased to have Mr. Andy Waruk come as a guest speaker. Since Remembrance Day was just 11 days ago we wanted to keep the war veterans in our mind. What better way to do that than to have one come and tell us about his experience in World War II.
Mr. Waruk talked about what it was like before the war, during the war, and his and his wife's life after the war. After his talk he showed us some comic drawings that a friend of his did during the war. These were very interesting to see and they were very well drawn and some were quite funny. After this we all went downstairs and had some food and a time of socializing before our game of fugitive. This got us all tired and was the end of our youth event for this week. |
