AHHHHHHHHHH LET'S GET READY TO SQUARREEEEEEEEE DANCEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Well this was a real change it venue for a youth event. We were invited to go square dancing at the university so we pounced upon the opportunity to try some new dance moves. Some of us have never done or have done very little square dancing so this was a very interesting time. We had approximately 26 people out for non rectangular dancing, lol. We had an awesome caller named Ken who showed us many new dance moves and put us through practices dances to give us a chance to practice the moves he was showing us. By the end of the night we were full fledged square dancers....well, we were supposed to be, lol. It didn't really turn out exactly that way. But I have to admit that by the end of the night we were able to participate in a full square dance. Yes, there were still some bumping going on but most of it was done pretty close to correctly. I think this turned out to be a very enjoyable youth event. I don't think a lot of the youth really knew what to expect with this event, but they really seemed to enjoy themselves, which was just awesome to see. The one square was really bouncing!!! lol Thanks to Seth and Leslie for inviting our youth group to participate in this event. PICTURES!! |
