Place chairs in a circle making the couch part of the circle. Have one extra chairs than the number of people playing. This is the 'empty chair'. Place 2 girls and 2 guys on the couch and the rest of the people go and sit on the chairs. One chair must remain open. Have everyone write their name on a piece of paper and place it in a basket. The basket goes around the circle and the people pick a name out of the hat. You are not allowed to get your own name. Also the people must not let anyone else know whose name they have.

The person to the left of the empty chair begins by calling out someones name. The person who is holding that name must move from their seat to the empty seat. The person who called out the name and the person who moved to the empty chairs trade papers with each other. Then whoever is next to the new empty chair calls out a name ... etc. The game continues like this.

The object of the game is simple. The guys want to get four guys sitting on the couch. The girls want to get four girls on the couch. The first team to put four people of their gender on the couch, WINS! You should probably set a time limit because this game can go for a while if you don't.
