First Youth Worship
This past sunday night (October 27th) was the first Youth Worship service. It started at 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church. It was a good turnout, with about 25 people coming out to worship. The songs we sang were: Here I Am To Worship, The Heart Of Worship, Lord I Lift Your Name On High, Trading My Sorrows, I Will Not Be Shaken, Holy And Anointed One, Breath, and In The Secret.

We had special guests at the worship service,...KRYSTAAL. That is that name of the band that came and played for us. There music was different but still it was awesome. Very upbeat! The guys did such a great job with their singing and they also gave a very good description of their lives both in their native Congo, as well as their life here in Canada. We appreciated that they were willing to come and play for us.

Second Youth Worship
Some information submitted by Nicki
We had our second youth worship event on December 1st. It started at 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church and was another success with about the same number of people coming out to worship together. The songs we sang were: Every move I make, Breathe, Open the Eyes of my heart, Here I am to worship, and Lord I lift your name on high.

We had a special guest speaker come out. Her name was Angela. She told us about her life, how she argued with her mom, how she found Christ. She gave us the following bible verses to think about, Ephesians 5:15-17.

After she was done speaking we broke up into two small groups and had a little discussion of what we do with our time and such. We evaluated where we put god in our life and where we put everything else.

We then sang our final of the night while everyone cleaned up and had refreshments. The song we ended with was I could sing of your love forever. After everything was cleaned up and put away we all went home.

Third Youth Worship
Information submitted by Nicki
When everyone got there we began to sing. The songs we sang were: Every move I make, Trading my sorrows, Open the eyes of my heart. After that song was done we sat down and had our talk.

Six volunteers went up to the front and each held an object. Chels had a piece of wood, Sheena had a T.V remote, Brett had Chris's yearbook, Trissa had a Science text book, Alex had a newspaper and Richie had nothing he was our "parents". The question Chris gave was Where do we find truth? In nature, T.V, school, Science, newspaper or our parents and we vote on which was more truthful and I think parents won.

Then we had to get into pairs and looked up a verse that related to another question. We read our responses and then Chris gave us a piece of paper and read it, and he got out an ink pad (which was green). We put our fingerprint on a piece of paper committing to reading the bible more.

After that we sang our last songs which were: Here I am to worship, Hallelujah(your love makes me sing) and Be unto your name. Then there was juice, cookies and socializing. After cleaning up there was a pillow fight upstairs and a green ink war, eh Mike? lol then everyone went home.

NOTE FROM MIKE: HA, HA, HA VERY FUNNY NICKI AND CHELS!!! THAT DOT TOOK A WHILE TO GET OFF LOL!!

Fourth Youth Worship
I apologize. This is being written way after the event and I can't find anyone who remembers what songs we sang. If I can figure that information out I will add it. Anyways what I do remember is Chris read a few verses from the bible for his God talk. You might not think that sounds very awesome but after he read them he got us all to stand up. He then went through the verses again one at a time. This time he showed up actions. We went through it a few times and then one final time with everyone saying the words and doing the actions. That was pretty sweet. That is all I really remember from this youth worship.

Fifth Youth Worship
This was a special youth worship in that it was out of the ordinary. We were leading a worship service, the Fairmont sunday night service to be more exact. We got there at 5:30 pm to have a quick practice and setup. We started at 6:00.

Dennis welcomed everyone there and then called the worship team (us)up on the stage to lead in some worship songs. We started with 2 songs. They wer Here I Am To Worship and How Great Thou Art. After our songs we sat back down and Dennis came up and gave the announcements and Paul Matheson gave greetings on behalf of First Baptist Church.

The worship team was then called up again and we sang 3 more songs: Not Be Shaken, Better Is One Day, and God Of Wonders. Then Chris came up and said the prayer and then gave his God Talk. After Chris' god talk we went up and sang the final three songs: It Is Well, We All Bow Down, and Be Unto Your Name. Seth then closed in prayer after these three songs. Dennis closed after the prayer to conclude the evenings service.

After the service we all went downstairs for some food and fellowship. After the meal we helped put away the tables and chairs and then everyone went home. All in all it turned out really good. I don't think we were all that nervous about singing in front of so many people.
