The Province sat down with Dan, Ryan and Ohad yesterday and here is what they had to say.
How Did You Get Discovered:
"One day we woke up and said, 'Let's get discovered.' We were on our way down to Speaker's Corner in Toronto but decided to go to Sony instead. The next thing we knew we were taking to a secretary. She wouldn't let us in. We were bugging her and we wanted her to take our demo tape. Then these two guys who were walking by us told us they were the postmen and we could sing for them. We didn't care who they were we just wanted to sing. It turned out that we were singing for Mike Roth, the VP of Sony and Lenny De Rose. We sang, and they gave us a contract on the spot."
What does b4-4 mean?
"It is pronounced 'before four' and it means that before four there was three. We love the name. It's simple and clever."
So what's fame like?
"We are living our dream right now. We do what we love. Everything about this is amazing. We get to wake up in the morning and perform. Some people look forward to the weekend. We look forward to the week."
What makes you different?
"We think it's the hair, just kidding. We are different because we're making it. And we definitely don't see it as an insult to be compared to other boy bands who have make it to the top."
What are your fans like?
"We love our fans. We are fans of our fans. We chat with them online all the time at www.b4-4.com."
Do you guys have girlfriends?
"Nope, we are still looking. Our schedules are pretty crazy."
What can your fans expect at the PNE tonight?
" They can expect a fantastic, high-energy show. We don't care if we are performing in front of 10 or 10,000 we will always give it our all."
