In 1990, the world was introduced to Fran Fine, of the Flushing Fines. Selling The Shades Of The Orient cosmetics, Fran mistakingly made her way to the Sheffield household, and into the hearts of the family.
For the next 6 years, Fran endeared herself to the Sheffields. Most especially the father, Maxwell, who Fran worked tirelessly to win over.
After five years of trying, Fran finally won her man, and married him in a lavish ceremony.
After having twin babies, the family moved the California to begin new lives.
Fran Fine, and Fran Drescher, reintroduced a kind of comedy which hadn't been seen in a long time. A comedy style in the traditional vein of Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett. A kind of wacky wholesomeness with a heart and a sense of style. That's what makes her The Nanny!
