His mother, Catherine is an accomplished concert pianist. At one time she routinely performed at the famed Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York on Earth and performed concerts throughout the Sol Sector. She doesn't like travelling far from home. She still plays on occasion but stays home mostly with her husband.

His older brother, Scott, is a Starfleet Commander. He currently serves as First Officer aboard the Intrepid class USS Spokane. Scott and Ethan are very close in age. Only 11 months separate them. There has always been a spirit of competition between them. They attended Starfleet Academy together and Ethan was edged out of the Number 3 spot in their class by a mere .08 in their grade point average. Ethan took much satisfaction in being promoted to Captain first.

His younger sister, Diane, is a civilian physicist currently assigned to Space Station Valhalla. She worked at the Harvard Science Institute and has offered many interesting theories on space folding. She is held in high regard by her peers. She is a talented musician as well.

Ethan was born shortly after his father's orders came in for duty at Copernicus City, Luna. When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Dublin, Ireland. He graduated from Albert Einstein High School in 2366 with honors. He and his brother were accepted to Starfleet Academy in late 2367 and started in the fall of 2368. Scott and Ethan graduated third and fourth respectively in 2372. They both specialized in Security.

As an ensign, Ethan was assigned to the Saber class USS Empire under the command of Captain Dennis Day as Security/Tactical officer in 2373.

In 2376, the USS Empire was attached to the Federation Defensive Task Force. Ethan was named commanding officer of the USS Knight by Admiral Paul Slusser shortly afterward.

It should be noted that Ethan has an affinity for law and justice. Traits instilled in him by his father. One of Ethan's favorite holodeck programs involves a band he created called Vulcan Emotional Underground. He also loves a good laugh and often plays practical jokes on his crew mates. He is quick with a joke when the situation permits, but quicker with a phaser.

In 2377, Ethan was in command of the USS Knight at the time of its destruction. He was later named CO of the USS Knight NCC-60572-A. The accident left him paralyzed. After an extensive surgery and recovery, Ethan returned to active duty. The surgery was performed by Doctor David Moore.

Possibly a different course of action could have been taken, but with the time constraints, you did what you had to in order to ensure the continuation of a civilization. After a short tour as the Academy Training Officer at the Hyperion Campus of Starfleet Academy, he was offered command of the FDTF Flagship, USS Avenger. He retained the services of his former Executive Officer and good friend, Commander Jordan Levi.

A strange occurance in the Bajor Sector brought the 'mirror' Ethan Corrigan to this universe. The mirror Ethan had a son named Ian. When the mirror Ethan was killed, custody of his son was given to the Ethan Corrigan in this universe. He currently resides on Hyperion at the home of Ethan Corrigan and Kelly Jericho, along with Kelly's adopted Bajoran daughter, Tanis Liadan.

Ethan plans to marry his girlfriend, Kelly, in May of 2379.
