Misc. Information: Born and raised among Starfleet's most and lesser advanced starships at the Beta Antares shipyard, the young Lysle Rigger developed an interest for them. The powerful warships in particular fascinated him up to a level that could be easily mistaken for an obsession.

The fact that his parents were technicians at the shipyard, only added fuel to his fascination. More than once the boy had been chased of the bridge by security officers. Another fact, that the captain usually didn't really mind to find an infant in his chair, but the Tactical Officer, back then the mister with the yellow shoulders, was very clear that he didn't want Lysle to touch _anything_ whatsoever, fixated his curiosity completely on that man or woman in the back of the ship.

These memories however are long forgotten, as they dated back to before the time he went to school. Yet nevertheless the obsession remained. In his free time, he collected anything he could find on the great warships, and the less war-oriented, yet powerful vessels like, back then, the Galaxy class. He even took a few shots at building models of these ships, though never proved very successful.

After for several years trying to educate their son into a technician for Beta Antares, David and Leony finally admitted defeat and sent Lysle to Earth, to find a job there. Obsessed or not, the message that he had enlisted in Starfleet actually came as a surprise.

The first two months of the first year at the academy he spent training for the Security and Tactical division. He however turned out to have a lacking interest in, among others, strategy and security protocol, and expressed a far above average fascination for the weapons technologies. As such, he was transferred involuntarily, but without any objections, to engineering training. In the middle of the fourth year Lysle Rigger was drafted into the FDTF Training Program.

His first mission started that same year. After the succesful participation in the fight against the borg at Valhalla space station, a mission in which the Engineer saw surprisingly little action for his taste, he was assigned to the USS Independence as Chief Engineer. The USS Independence also was the ship to which he was assigned as an Ensign.

When his Commanding Officer and Executive Officer were reassigned to the Marine and Intelligence divisions, Lysle Rigger went through a sloppy transfer procedure, with as goal a temporary assignment to the USS Frontier, until the Independence was to be restaffed.

The Frontier, however, due to a misunderstanding, had already gotten a Chief Engineer out of the Academy. He was transferred to the command of Captain Jan Vogels of the USS DeRuyter within an exceptionally short time, and currently remains there.
