The Hard Days by Marien L. Colon
The hard days were when guns and knives were Used most definitely, when people fell to the hard ground, When people's screams were filled with fear, When people suffered of pain and agony, When people wanted revenge! The hard days were when people did not have good food But salted pork and water but a drop, When you see your one best friend let his heart rest, When smoke rose, When good medicine was absent, When agonizing pain was common.
The Hard days were when you were no longer home, When people ran with rage in their glowing red eyes, When people went to hide, It was when people cried and sighed, It was not a pretty sight!
The hard days were no game, People suffered so much pain, Imagine you there with unstoppable pain, War is no game, Do not suffer that pain! |
