The Light

The bright shining light
pierces the darkest soul,
lifts the heaviest head,
and inflates the limpest heart.
It is unstoppable, inevitable,
it shines through the thickest layers
of deppression and despair.
It is the foundation of society,
the source of determination and diligence.
It is the diamond in Pandora's Box.
It is Hope.
Inflicting pain upon despair,
it brings relief to those who suffer
and meaning to those who struggle.
It brings courage to those who dare,
confidence to those who try,
and a cure for those who fail.
Everyone has a need for hope,
it brightens up your day.
This world we live in has no end
because hope is on its way.
