I dream of cleansing life
In the palm of my hand.
I plan to follow desire,
Not having to understand.
I want to embrace hope
With my heart in caress.
I want to laugh aloud,
And speak of happiness.
I will tell myself repeatedly
Never again to fear
Of anything holding me back
From things I love so dear.
God, how scared am I,
Please take me in your arms.
Help me live to the fullest,
And display my potential charms.
I am ready to step out
Unto the world of oppurtunity.
I am headstrong to a dream,
As hope shines before me.
I know I have been hurt
I recall clearly the pain
That held me back once before
It will never happen again.
Unto my heart, I make a promise,
A future resolution:
To stand and be strong,
For there is a solution.
