Ingame: Adel became the ruler of Esthar in her younger years, but people rebelled against her. Laguna was the leader of this setup. Then after some time, the Sorceress War started. During this war, Adel searched for Ellone to use the girl for her special powers. Laguna used this as bait to trap Adel in a seal. She was launched into space so she would harm no more. This ended the first Sorceress war. When the SeeD went into space, Ultimecia possessed Rinoa, and forced her to free Adel from her seal. The Lunar Cry made sure Adel would drop down to earth, right into the Lunatic Pandora. When the SeeD's got there to save Ellone, Seifer took Rinoa and Adel attached Rinoa to herself, forming a dangerous and powerful enemy. The SeeD defeated Adel and rescued Rinoa.
