Episode 8, Season 2
Tonights episode is going to be one of my favorites EVER! Its got 2 stunts I've been waiting to see! But lets get to it! The contestants are:
Carol Monteverde-She's a model!
Jeff Beisel
David Alexander
Joel Richwagen
Charlotte Pierrepont
Harmonie Kriger
Be prepared...This first stunt is one you'll remember:
FIRST STUNT: The Underwater Tunnel!
Underwater, in a swimming pool is a tunnel 80ft. long. There are 4 air pockets
spaced out equally along it. The guy and girl who swims the least distance or
gets the lowest time is eliminated. First up is Carol!
Carol is a model, but does this stop her? HECK NO! She swims through the tunnel fairly fast, getting 1:11. Harmonie is the next up, and although Carol is the model, it seems Harmonie has the model personality. She informs us that she is afraid of water. She then adds nobody thinks she will do good because of this and that she is fairly weak, and she doesn't. She is unable to enter the tunnel, so she stops there. Charlotte easily beats this, also beating Carols time by 2 seconds. So in the end, Fear does play a BIG Factor in Harmonie, as she leaves thanks to her Hydrophobia!
Now the game on the guys side is very very interesting. We have the trasher-David. He is going on and on about how great he'll do, blah blah blah. We shall see... Then we have the quiet one-Jeff. He isn't talking too much, yet acting friendly. Something is fishy about him. Of course, it could be he's a life gaurd. And Finally, there's Mr have fun, as long as you win- Joel, acting very competitive, but also trying to have fun (as his name suggests). I wonder which is going home...Isn't it obvious.
David jumps in the water, and swims through the tunnel, coming up at 40 seconds, astounding everybody! WOW! Everyone is amazed....that is until David beats him by 4 seconds. Hey, he does seem to actually have intelligence, and he was a lifegaurd, what did you expect? Now its Mr Competitive, but still having fun. We wait, he swims, stopping at an airpocket...its gonna be close...he manages to reach teh surface at 39 SECONDS!!! And, as we have seen in many many episodes before, the trasher got trashed off the show!!!
And the contestants act shocked...Oh come on, you knew he was going home then right when the first piece of trash came out of his mouth...
STUNT 2: Eat Balut(Duck Embryo!)
This stunt is just what the title says: Eat 2 Balut. What is a Balut? Its a delicacy from the Philipines, but you probably know it as "That gross Duck Embryo they ate on Fear Factor." Thats right, Not fully developed ducks. It was kind of fun, yet disturbing, to watch, but I survived, and so did all the contestants.
What do I mean? I mean, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ATE IT!!! (Even though Carol used to have a pet baby duck) Kinda sick. But actually not (Random Story Time!) because my sister's friends from Junior High actually ate one once, and low and behold, she didn't like the taste, but she ate it without much trouble. I think this stunt needed to be tampered with a little more, say they ate 3, and the other contestants had to shove it down each others mouthes!
4 contestants left, after one easy, but fun-disturbing to watch, stunt. Are they ready for
THE FINAL STUNT: Biking Beam!
This has to be one of the best stunts yet!!! The contestants must now cross between to buildings on a 12 inch wide beam. The beam is 120 feet high in the air. The person who crosses the farthest or goes the fastest wins. Sounds tough huh?....No...Well then, why don't we add a little BIKING into the mix! Now you must BIKE across. This is gonna be fun!
First up is Charlotte. She has a little time to practice biking between two lines drawn on the ground, but it obviously didn't help, because she only makes it 38ft. Carol, who has been practicing diligently, manages to keep the bike on the beam, as she pedals slowly. She reaches the other side in 7.8 seconds! Alright Carol! Joel is next, but doesn't reach the 38 marker even, as he falls near the beginning. He curses as he falls. What did you expect from Mr. Competitive, he messes up at the end, yet somehow is still happy?
Now its up to David. He has had more time to practice, and has decided to just go his fastest. He begins to bike, going fairly fast, starting to speed up towards the end, and his time is..... 5 SECONDS!!! ALRIGHT DAVID!!! You won, but the producers definetly made this the best episode yet!!! CONGRATS TO BOTH!!!
