"It took just a minute to meet him
an hour to love him
but more than a lifetime to forget him"

Carter Wyatt Duncan was born April 26, 2002 at 10:03pm to his proud parents, Karen and Scott Duncan. Little Carter arrived into this world 11 weeks premature at a whopping 2 lbs 1 oz.
During his brief stay on this earth he touched the hearts and lives of many close friends and family. He put up a tough fight during his stay at Royal Columbian and Children's Hospital, but, his obstacles were to great to overcome. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his Mom and Dad at approximately 10:00pm on May 03, 2002. HIS JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN Don't think of him gone away - Just think of him as resting Think how he must be wishing And think of him as living This was read at his memorial service by his Grandma Joyce
During Carter's memorial service, his parents; Scott and Karen, cut their hospital bracelets from their rists and tied them to two "It's a Boy" helium balloons. When they were ready (which was extremely difficult, as you can imagine) they let the balloons go. Everyone stood in silence for quite a while just watching the balloons float away.
Take a moment when you hear the songs, "In the Arms of an Angel" by Sarah Mclachlin and "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton, to remember this special little boy. Please do take a moment to leave a message

His journey has just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and
comfort
Where there are no days and years
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
In the hearts of those he
touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost--
And he was loved so much.

Carter will be in all our hearts forever.
