DTC#2 Feb 2000

us ...
We live in the corn fields outside of Chicago. Phil is a Prof. of
Geology at Northern Ill University in DeKalb. I stay home with Lydia
and our two cats Sunny and Velvet.
Lydia has been an incredible addition to our family. Everything
went so smoothly and she is so healthy, bright, ENERGETIC and of
course stunning! We have enjoyed watching her blossom. She enjoys
going to library reading group, music class and especially Chinese
Bible Study where she sees her friends and aunties and eats real
Chinese foods.
Phil and I are involved in our church missions program and very
interested in what happens around the world. We have been a host
family for over a dozen students from Europe and China. Phils
students are also a part of our family.
Phil and I enjoy reading and old movies. Lydia will watch if there
is lots of tap dance. I quilt and sew, and chase the weeds out of the
gardens.
our adoption plans ...
We are using Sunny Ridge Family Center in Wheaton Ill again.
We look forward to our growing family. As you can see growing
faster than expected, so you hear me say, I am not in control and
lets go with the flow. Phil will travel without me since I will be 6-
7 months along. We hope to have a travel partner, one of our pastors
go with him. Lydia and I will hold down the fort and wait by the
phone for news.
