Amy, 48, lives in San Antonio, Texas, with two wild and wonderful Westies, Duncan and Gwyneth. I moved to Texas from Virginia two years ago. I'm a human resources manager with a large financial services company. My passion is being an artist. I do Oriental brush painting and calligraphy. I first fell in love with the Chinese culture as a result of my artwork. I visited China in 1995. It was an incredible trip. I can't wait to go back and meet my daughter!
my adoption plans ...
I considered adoption for over 10 years before making my decision to adopt from China. After moving to Texas, I learned about Great Wall, and I knew this was the agency I would use. I started the paperchase in October of 1999 (three states were involved) and drove my documents up to Austin in January of 2000. My DTC is February 1, 2000, and I've requested a child 12 months or under. My best friend (and next-door neighbor) Carol will be traveling with me. I've been driving her crazy with fixing up the nursery, measuring luggage, and making packing lists! My daughter's name will be Zoe Caroline.
