Halley, 37, and Joey, 44, live in Brownspoint, Washington, with three fat middle-aged lady cats (Pooky, Mooloo, and Molly)
and one elderly female golden retriever named Sugar. Halley's family lives in Erie, Pennsylvania, and most of Joey's family is right in the Brownspoint area. Joey works for Pacific Alaska Forwarders in Fife, Washington, and I (Halley) work for a local hospice as a bereavement coordinator. We have been married for over three years. We met while taking the basic climbing course with the Mountaineers Club. We tried for a bio child for over a year and then made decision to adopt, foregoing more expensive fertility measures. We are avid hikers, back-country skiers, and snowshoers. When not in the mountains, we love to tend our perennial and veggie gardens. There is always a pile of dirt, rocks, etc., in our driveway waiting to be spread. Halley loves ashtanga yoga, and Joey loves spinning pedals on his bike. Anything outdoors is definitely enjoyed!

We have requested a girl 3 months or over. Our agency is Faith International. We started the process in August 1999. The paperchase went relatively smoothly. Our homestudy took place in November 1999 and was sent to the INS the week after Christmas. We received approval January 12, 2000, and our dossier went out February 16, 2000. We are looking forward to meeting our daughter Liliana in the fall (Octoberish?). Right now we are just preparing the nursery, and when not doing that, we're just twiddling our thumbs as the days pass by!
