My name is Cindy Houser, and I live in Lincoln, Nebraska. I'm 41 and single. I work as an assistant systems coordinator at State Farm Insurance Co. I enjoy books, movies and sports. I'm really close to my family and enjoy spending time with them. I'm really thankful that my entire family also lives in Lincoln.

I've always known that I wanted to be a mother. I love kids. I always assumed that I would meet Mr. Right, get married and have children. When that didn't happen for me, I decided to pursue adoption. I was immediately drawn to China. My entire family has been so supportive of my decision to adopt. Both of my parents will be traveling with me to China. This will be their first grandchild, and they are so excited! I am so glad that they will both be with me when I meet my daughter for the first time.

I submitted my initial application to Holt International Children's Services on July 7, 1999. My dossier was sent to China on February 4, 2000. I have requested a girl up to 6 months of age. I will name her Molly Marie. I can't wait to meet her!
