Linda, 44, and Kevin, also 44, live in Vienna, Virginia. We have a daughter Jasmine, who is almost 4, and a 17-year-old "pound puppy." Kevin and I (Linda) have been married for 16 years. We both work in the Washington, D.C., area. After many infertility treatments and surgeries, we decided to adopt a baby from China. That dream was realized in December 1996, when we adopted Jasmine (aka "The Princess"). At the time, she was 6 months old and living in Chongqing.

Prior to becoming a Dad, Kevin enjoyed playing golf and doing "computer stuff." My favorite pastimes were making stained glass, playing volleyball and shopping. Now, we laughingly acknowledge that we have no free time or social life of our own — our calendar consists of Jasmine's social life. Our evenings and weekends are filled with birthday parties, playgroup gatherings, swimming lessons and gymnastics classes ... and WE LOVE IT!

I serve on the board for the Metro DC Chapter of Families With Children from China (FCC), which is comprised of over 200 families in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland. We enjoy attending FCC events throughout the year.

Our agency is CCAI, and we have requested a child 12 months of age or under. Our dossier was logged in on February 1, 2000. We are so excited about many aspects of our pending adoption — the trip to China (on our first one, we were so stressed out as first-time parents!), widening our circle of lifelong friends to include the other families in our adoption group, and last but not least ... having another child to laugh with and love forever.
