Lisa & Paul Stepanovic

us ...
Lisa and Paul live in St. Louis, Missouri. We share our home with 2 furry feline children, Boris and Natasha. They are both high-maintenance — Natasha has renal disease, and we must give her subcutaneous injections twice daily. Boris is just a big troublemaker! My DH and I have been married for 10 years. He is a financial adviser, and I am a training/development consultant — although right now all I want to do is be a MOM! We're in the midst of various home-improvement projects, which help keep us busy during "The Wait." I just hope we'll finish before our daughter comes home! (but I'm certainly not asking for a longer wait. ...)

our adoption plans ...
Our agency is Children's Hope International, and we have requested a child under 1 year old. We started the process in September 1999, and our dossier went to China in February 2000. After 5 years of trying to conceive and receiving infertility treatments, we decided to put our energy into adoption. It's still hard to believe that this time, it really will happen! We found a great agency, CHI, right in our home town. It has been wonderful to meet these people in person and attend various seminars at the agency. I've been a sponge for information about adoption and travel to China. I just finished "An Empty Lap" and would highly recommend it! My favorite China adoption Web site is Personal China Adoption Stories.
