Vicky and Brian live in Northern California with their three sons, T.K. (4 1/2), Ben (2 1/2), and Eric (16 months). I (Vicky) am a stay-home mom for our little guys, and Brian heads off to his job in the software industry daily — he'd rather be retired and home with us, too, though. (Hey, we can dream, right?) I love to run, read, cook, and be outside. He likes all those things too — except substitute "golf" for "cook." We have so many wonderful things growing in our yard right now (I wish I could take credit) — cherries, plums, apples, pears, grapes, blackberries. Each season reminds me that we are just a little closer to getting our baby girl home with us — next year she'll share all those backyard delights with us!
our adoption plans ...
We love kids and have wanted to adopt since we met. The circumstances are finally right for us to do so, and so here we are. We have been extremely fortunate to have full support from our families and friends. Our agency is Heartsent Adoptions. We started our paperchase in October 1999, and our dossier went to China on February 16, 2000. We requested a baby girl between 6 and 15 months old. and hope to have her home for an extra-special Thanksgiving (Ben came home to us on that day!). The boys are a little young to understand all about their baby sister, but they surely sense Mommy and Daddy's deepening love for the daughter we've not yet met. We are just waiting (trying to be patient ...) until we can love her up close rather than just from afar. Glad to be part of this joyous and wondrous journey.
