Today’s appointment with Dr. Lurvey was at 4 pm. In the morning we attended the
“Seemandham” (Indian version of baby shower!!!) function of one of our friends
at the Malibu Temple. We got back home at 2 p.m. and after an hour, left for
the clinic. We reached the clinic at 3:30 p.m. and the nurse Ms. Nati Mora did
all the routine tests. We then waited in the exam room for Dr. Lurvey. It was
indeed a long wait. He finally came at 4:40 p.m. He came inside the room asking
me, “So, you are pregnant again?” with his distinctive sweet smile and congratulated
us. We thanked him and congratulated!!???!! him, as he had become the proud father
of a sweet baby boy Adam, about three months back.
He then went over my pre-natal chart and saw that the due date was not entered there,
although, Dr. Kivnick had estimated the same as Nov 26 ’04. So, Dr. Lurvey said he
would do a quick Ultrasound and at the end of it, mentioned that I would be due
around Nov 26 ’04 and that Dr. Kivnick was right!!.
He then made a note of it in my pre-natal chart. I also had a couple of questions,
          which I discussed with him.
Seen below is the picture from the scan.
The picture above shows that the baby is 3.43 cms long and that I am 10 weeks and
2 days along in my pregnancy.
We also gave our refusal for AFP screening test to Dr. Lurvey.
He asked us to meet him after 6 weeks. The nurse Ms. Nati Mora made an appointment
for me to meet him on Jun 7 ’04.

Sathish’s parents came from India to Los Angeles today to spend a few months with us.
It is just a casual visit. So, we went to the airport in the afternoon and picked
them up. All of us are excited on seeing each other. This is their first trip to the
US and they are also excited about it.
