Richard Green Outside, above the Northern doorway, is a 'crude panel with a small figure, the cause of considerable speculation. Baddeley claims it as Romano-British probably C3 ... of St Andrew?'

Churcham is free land and the church has as Patron the Dean and Chapter of Gloucester. During the Civil War the Parliament had a small garrison here. A skirmish happened in 1643, when a Captain and four privates of the Republican party were slain.
Lists of men and arms for 1522 and 1608 have been printed.
