Fehér Scored the Goal of Victory In the Portugese cup a weekend full of events has passed. Boavista obtained its first victory in this season, Benfica's three points in the pitch of Moreirense are owned to the goal of Miklós Fehér, while champion of last season, Sporting suffered such a defeat it never did in the last decade. It is proper to start with the success of Boavista, as it was them who as guests first faced Academica in Combria. In the 82nd minute Richardo Rocha gave a shot from the left side to the middle, and Fehér, just in the best position, scored his first goal for Benfica. "I was very happy about this goal, as I have been waiting for it for a long time. This was why I was working so hard day after day, and finally I see the result of it", the attacker declared to our newspaper. "Now everybody is asking me whether I will be in the starting team with Nuno Gomes in the followings, but my only possible answer is that it does not depend on me, I would have played this way in the past as well if I had had the opportunity to do so. The coach can count on me if he decides to do so". Much less happy the turn was in case of Sporting, the biggest rival of Benfica. During the away match against Pacos Ferreira the goal of Carlos Carneiro and the three goals of Mauro meant that the home team paid back with a 4-0 victory to the 0-6 defeat suffered last year in the same place, in Mata Real stadium. The players of Lisbon suffered their first defeat in the cup since October 13, 2001, but much more striking is the fact that Sporting has not suffered such defeat since January 31, 1988! The game played almost fifteen years ago resulted Penafiel beating Sporting with the same difference of goals. Naturally, coach László Bölöni was unhappy about the performance of his players.
