This may have been posted earlier, but a sudden realization came to me last night so I thought I'd put it into words and let you all have a go at it.
An event that I shall call Identity Cognizance occurs to some people in a very intricate and life changing moment in life. Identity Cognizance is the realization that we control our world.
There are precursor steps that lead to this awareness.
Before coming to this awareness the person may feel the world to be a huge place. The individual possesses certain beliefs that have been instilled to him by an imprinting process in childhood. The individual usually is under the understanding that he is only a piece of matter in the large and vast universe.
Upon a certain stage of development two things take place.
The first is a shaking of beliefs. This may be caused by any number of events. The ideas of youth are shattered by a realization of truth. For every shaping principle in our juvenility is false if not refined by the process of augmentation. Once this occurs the individual then searches for truth or himself outside of the principles that he has been taught in his youth.
After these principles have been shaken the second thing that occurs is a situational event. In this event the individual is faced with a choice: to accept defeat in face of what seems to be impossibility or to find success through unfeasible odds. The former is what usually happens.
When one does choose to conquer the situation they come to a realization that the world is theirs to possess. They shape their world. They are no longer bound to the principles of the past and can freely believe as they wish because they are the masters of their own destinies.
Those who choose not to conquer in this situation forever see the world as his master, instead of seeing the world as something to be mastered. They shall never reach the state of Identity Cognizance because they have chosen to hold to tightly to the beliefs of the past instead of grasping the will of one's own power to become commander of his own totality.
