After his journey to the foreign lands the Unkept One returned to find his pupil hard at work in his studies.
"What have you learned young one?" the Untarnished One asked.
"Much I have learned about my life and why I am here. But one thing troubles me." said the student.
"And that is?" asked the Unadulterated One.
"What is just?"
The Overlooked One sat down and let out a great sigh.
"You ask difficult questions young one. But I believe you have gone far enough on your journey to understand more.
"Imagine a tree growing in the middle of an open field. Each leaf it's own being, connected in life to the rest. Which is better? To water one leaf or the whole tree? To water the roots or the stem of a single leaf?"
The student responded "Why, the whole tree of course."
"Exactly, and just so, justice is a matter not of trying to find justice within yourself, but finding what is best for everyone. We are all a unit, trying to function together to make the best possible life that we can. What is just may not be what suits your needs the best, but what will serve the needs of the whole group. If you abide by this, just like if you water the root of the tree, then not only will the whole tree flourish but each individual leaf as well."
