I think the idea of what is God is a very personal thing. I believe that everyone worships a God of some sort, whether this God is an actually higher entity or merely a worship of their own ability as "God" to control themselves or their environment. God is simply a creature with power and dominion. No one can say that they are free from rulership, free from oppression, because we are masters of ourselves, making ourselvse slaves to ourselves as well. Whatever is our master becomes our God. Some worship the God of self, others the God of alcohol, others a metaphysical God they believe lives in heaven, others worship the opinion of those around them. Whatever the case we are all servants to something, even if we serve our own ignorance.
