driving down a lonely road
with no particular place to go
turning the radio up very high
singing with every tune
no destination set in mind
just a senseless journey
a travel into the deep abyss
of mind and heart and soul
no worries of the world at all
as trees fly quickly by
the rolling hills keep silent
as to the perversion of the land
in the car driving alone
is an escape from the world's problems
in the vehicle is no war
no famine, disease or hate
for in the car is only beauty
a smile upon the drivers face
for a brief instant in time
though it only be a moment
life is refreshing
completely pure
and then the second passes
