If I could
I would change
The world for you

I would wrap it in silver
And tie it in bows

I would make hunger cease
And happiness abound

I would make fear of death
No where to be found

I’d save the tiny girl
Who fears her father’s touch

I’d help the little boy
Using drugs as his crutch

I’d calm the raging oceans
May they not destroy anymore

I’d make crime eliminated
No lock needed for any door

I’d make my heart feel safe
Even though it feels insecure

I’d make these thoughts of fear
Disappear, never to reoccur

I’d give you my heart
In the blink of an eye

I’d silence my doubts
Well, at least I would try

I’d change the world for you
You know that I would
I’d do all of this for you
If only I could
