Jose Feliciano: “Hello to Hong Kong”
First international performer after HK removed from the list of infected areas

[June 25, 2003, Hong Kong] The announcement of being removed from WHO’s list of SARS – infected areas was music to our ears and so was the news of “ Jose Feliciano : Hello to Hong Kong” concert. “The greatest living guitarist” – Jose Feliciano, world renowned singer, is the first foreign performer to hold concert in Hong Kong on August 9 after SARS outbreak.
Jose Feliciano with his 10-people band will perform on August 9 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Born blind, Jose plays not only guitar, but also bass, banjo, keyboards, timbales, mandolin and harmonica. He is the one and the only one – Six Time Grammy Award Winner and is in receipt of numerous awards such as from the famous US magazine: “Guitar Player”, he was named as “The best guitar player” for several times.
Jose reached worldwide popularity with his obsessive flamenco-flavored versions of pop hits such as “Light My Fire”. Other Jose’s golden songs include “California Dreaming”, “Rain”, “Angela”, “And the Sun Will Shine” and “Old Turkey Buzzard”. Besides composting songs like “Rain,” he also performed other famous golden songs such as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Richard Marx and The Rolling Stone, and received favourable credits. Up till now, Jose has recorded over 65 albums, and is still active in the music community.
