9 Filtered Shots of Myself

Done using Adobe Photoshop Elements

Explanation of Techniques

For the nine shots assignment, I did this in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

I began by opening a photo of myself, taken with a digital camera, in Photoshop Elements  by selecting "Open" from the file menu and finding the folder where it is located. When the photo is opened up, I tried out various filters, effects and techniques from the "Filter" tabs, which are located at the top right corner of the screen.

The filters, effects and techniques I used include: Shape, Airbrush, Brush, Impressionist Brush, Blur, Smudge, and Clone tools. When I finished applying these effects, I typed the word of the respective effects I used at the bottom of the photo. I used 72 point size for the text. Then I resized them.

I resized them by selecting "Resize" from the image menu. In the dialogue box, I switched the units to percent and typed in 33.3. After, I saved them with the same file name with the addition of the filter name after it.

When I finished that, I created a new image in the size of 640 X 480 pixels. I put  all the images together in one image. I used the move tool to drag it onto the upper left corner of the new file. After I opened the remaining files and position them onto the new image. When they are all placed properly, I flattened the image then saved it.
