Word Problems Explanation in words: The only thing you diferent.  You take and figure out the equations that are hidden in side the word problem.  IT'S EASY!!!!!

Example: One week a business sold 40 scarfs whote ones cost 4.95$ and printed ones cost 7.95$ in all. 282$ worth of scarfs were sold. How many of each kinda were sold?  w + p = 40 (-4.95)  4.95w + 7.95p = 282 -4.95w -4.95p = -198 3p =84  p=28 Now plug it into the original equation! w +28 = 40  -28 = -28 w = 12 (28, 12)
