Aniversary Party

Maria passed Amanda a Budweiser. Everyone laughed as she popped the top, took a large gulp and choked on it. The party was winding down, thankfully. I glanced at Jenny, she always took my breath away with those short shirts that showed off her cute little belly button. She turned, and our eyes met, she gave me a small smile and turned her gaze to the beer the other five girls were guzzling down.

The girls were leaving, one by one, excruciatingly slowly, Jenny and I glanced at each other more than once, exchanging shy smiles as we waited for them to go. I stood behind her as Maria, the designated driver, walked a drunken Natalie to her car. Jenny closed the door, leaned back against it, and giggled, "Finally!!" I couldn't wait any longer, I strode over and placed a light kiss on her sweet lips. I took her by the hand, picked up a basket, a thick blanket, and led her out the back way into a field behind her house.

We sat side by side. Her hand gently placed over mine. I smiled, took a deep breath, and glanced up at the stars. The night air was cool, the moonlight pleasingly shone, and the wind softly played with our hair. We'd just had a light dinner of broiled chicken, potatos, carrots, and white wine in the moonlight. Now we were savoring each other's nearness on the soft blanket. She scooted over to my side, put her arm around my waist and laid her head on my shoulder. I breathed a small sigh and wrapped my arms around her. We whispered to each other, as if our words would shatter the perfect night's embrace around us. She told me how happy she was, our one month anniversary was tonight. She was both joyfully happy as we celebrated our relationship, and deeply saddened that I was moving halfway across the country in a month or two.

It was her first lesbian relationship, and mine. I worried constantly about hurting her, and wondered if I was doing the wrong thing by getting involved so soon before leaving, but one look into her sparkling green eyes, and I was drunken with her beauty. It felt so right, I cursed fate for having such awfully rotten timing. My arms tightened around her, she responded by hugging me feircly and reached up to plant a kiss on my cheek.

The silence of the night pulsed around us, only the insects and owls serenaded us. The moon wrapped us in a blanket of it's beams, and the stars glittered brightly. I stroked her long blond hair, and it grazed softly against my face. Her proximity intoxicated me, and I knew I had to taste her sweet lips once more. I cupped her head in one hand, the other around her waist, and pulled her lips close to mine. I whispered, "You're wonderful.", as I stared into those magical eyes. Our lips met gently as she layed back and pulled me with her. I brushed a stand of hair from her face, and carressed her cheek, she looked up at me with wide liquid eyes.

I dipped down, our lips molded together in a long, passionate kiss. Our tongues met, danced, and battled. We simply enjoyed the specialness this night gave to us, our kisses, and our closeness.
