HATS . . .

Uncle Ford Bradley and his wife Loretta(one of my very favorite people) and their nephew, Stephen Morrow, Jr. The right hand photo is one of myself(Frances) with some of my friends in Chicago. This was probably taken in 1939. It was very proper to wear hats and gloves whenever you were dressed to go out to dinner, or church or calling on friends.
A picture of Frances again with the hat, and friends in Rankin in 1935. We were so grown up. The photo at the right is Margaret Saindon Riggs and her husband Sandy with son William. They were going to California on the train. It was about 1930. She was the daughter of Honora Bradley Saindon, and the great grandaughter of Honora O'Leary.
My mother again, Regina Bradley with a group of friends. People she worked with in Hoopeston, Illinois. The photo on the right is a classic. This is Julia Foley Morrow, and her friend Mary Mulcahey(also from Ireland) My father had a model T. Ford and his brothers always borrowed it. They would drive it to the gas station and charge the gas to Dad. This time Uncle Charlie took Grandma and her friend for a ride to Thawville--a little town of three houses which still exists--It is not incorporated, but is named. It was about fifteen miles from Rankin and an extensive trip in those days(1914) On the back of the photo is written "keep this turned to the wall"
