One of the star men in the Fenerbahçe SK team, Milan Rapaic is a left-footed
player who can win a match with one moment of magic. He started his career in his native Croatia with HNK Hajduk
Split. Spent five seasons with them, most memorably helping them to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in
1994/95 ; Rapaic playing six games in that run. His form brought him to the attention of Europe’s leading scouts,
and he was soon heading abroad. Perugia AC forked out to bring Rapaic to Italy. He spent four years in Italy, turning
in some impressive displays along with his fair share of goals. Moved on to Turkey in 2000, and scored 12 goals
as Fenerbahçe won the title in 2000/01. A Croatian international, Rapaic was linked with another move before
the 2001/02 but the Turkish club were adamant the player was going nowhere. |
