| Yusuf Simsek joined Fenerbahce SK in 2000 from Denizlispor, after making a significant
impression in the 1999/000 campaign. He hit 11 goals in 32 games to make the bigger teams sit up and take notice.
After moving to Istanbul, he quickly settled into the Fenerbahce team on the right-hand side of midfield. He played
27 games, scoring four goals, during the title-winning campaign of 2000/01. As well as standing out because of
his keen eye for goal, the Elmali-born player is a good passer and possesses good crossing ability. His height
gives him an advantage in the air, but he is more than comfortable with the ball on the ground as well. |
