FennecTheFox's Strategy Guide
This second screen shot is meant to demonstrate Drone micro vs Lings early on, when you don't have any Lings of your own to defend. You can use this strategy on all of the start locations on lost Temple, but it works best at 12, 6, and 9. If you find yourself being attacked without any Lings (normally you're 4-5 pooled when this happens). If he's persistant in chasing after your Drones - which you'll have about 12 of. Select all of your Drones, and take them to a Mineral patch that is indented. Once the Lings start to attack, click 'A' and all of your Drones will attack at once. This will reduce your number of casualties. I once was attacked by 8 Lings and an SCV. I only ended up losing two Drones out of 12. Keep your Pool near your Minerals, so you can attack the Lings as they attack the Pool, and you'll still be able to pull back to a mineral patch in time to deter his aggression. It's only meant to stall his Lings until yours finish building. If you're playing as Zerg and wish to optimize your Vespene intake, you can build your Pool linking it to your Extractor and Hatchery, so your Drones move straight to, and from the Extractor. Where you build your Pool is obviously different for each location on Lost Temple. You can also apply the same principal to Terran and Protoss. Use a Pylon or Cybernetics Core for Protoss, and use a Supply Depot for Terran. That about wraps everything up. Thanks to: Eutheria, Meilkazar, and [aLt]Nirvana for helping out with some of the screen shots that were used in this guide. Candle for his HTML help. Originally I created this guide in a program called "Yahoo Page Builder" Not everyone could view this guide properly due to various reasons. I wanted everyone to be able to view it properly - so Candle offered to rework the pages in pure HTML. I would like to give him a big thanks for all of his efforts and time spent contributing to this guide. LustedSmurf (a well known Brood War player) inspired me to write this guide. He has helped read through my workings - correcting any errors, and offering adivce. Certain quotes and knowledge of his that I picked up throughout this year, were applied to this guide. I would like to thank him for his contributions and for helping me become a better player. Final Notes: |
