Ok, here goes my first post!
It took me a little while to dig this one up. Kinda got lost between home and my job. This is a poem that was inspired by my partner's, Bonnejeanne, poem about Trowa called Trowa: Discovery. Hope ya like it!
In the darkness I saw only pain,
I wanted to heal, but I was vain
I discovered too late, To heal is to kill,
And that was my fateI lived in steel and sought the sun
I trained and became alone again
One.
I knew my mission, what I was to do
There was no time for doubt,
And then I met you. That is where my mission strayed,
Somewhere in the dark, a voice inside
Said that it wasn't right
We should not fight
So I stopped and you surrendered.
And so did I that night. We stood and fought together,
But there was more I had to learn
More pain, this time struck home,
I danced in madness, friend turned to foe
I shot without thinking
And dealt you a blow. And then nothing mattered,
Except your last words
My life turned completely
One shattered heart, but determined to fight
How could I have known,
We would have one more night.I found you again, by fate or by chance
You were broken and sad
By deeds of my hands
A call rang out and I had to defendYou were my symbol, of what was right
I took to the skies, I had to fight.
Then, it looked like the end
It looked like the last.
I cried out under the blast
And then you were there
As bright as the sun
We were together again.
Together as One.
