MOVING PLATFORM A 29, 30
Back in the habit (this is NO “Sister Act” pun ;D). I won’t go with the clichéd ‘amazing’ I tend to use to describe the first CATS performance of each trip
(though it was amazing of course ,D) and keep to “I was totally swept away.” *winks*
During Jellicle Songs as the cast came on stage I noticed that John Partridge is wearing rings on both hands (you just don’t usually see them as he wears
gloves ;D). When asking “What’s a Jellicle Cat?”, he was crouching low, his hand on Sebastian’s thigh. *Cute*.
For Naming we had seats to die for *ahem* - meaning Jake Brent was in front of us. He has the most amazing voice as I must have mentioned before, but
what really stunned me was his recitation. I’ve seldom heard something as beautiful. I appreciate nothing more than poetry and I could tell Jake was ‘feeling’
the words, really trying to make them sound as they should. He did a fab job, since I had melted after the first sentence.
For Gumbie, well, since we had David Ashley back as Munku I didn’t really pay too much attention to him. I still don’t like his interpretation too much though
he has changed it. He’s less harsh and he doesn’t take centre stage as much (ok, so I go for a sophisticated calm Munku like Kenny’s. Sue me ;D). What I
esp. liked was that David he didn’t scream this time round.
Cori and Tant were quite ‘interesting’ during this song. If they are siblings I really need to read up on cats’ mating habits *grins*. Helen was lying there, with
Oliver leaning across her as she wrapped her legs about his waist. But I suppose that those two are just about as bad as MJ and RT who were seen rolling
about the stage in a tangle of limbs quite frequently as well ;D.
We had the pleasure of seeing another adorable catfight - Sebastian (Alonzo) wound about near Misto, until the latter finally gave up and grabbed his tail. They
proceeded to circle each other, arching their backs and hissing slightly before pouncing. *sighs*
John P. is THE Tugger. And there’s no doubt about that ;D. I did try to pay more attention to the background during this song for once (which is hard when
you got John there playing up to and wooing the audience ;D). And what did I see?
MJ pretending to be Tug, imitating his hip swinging while kneeling on the car boot. RT looked at him, coming closer and staring at his midsection, which Jerrie
didn’t like too much ;D. He waved her away, putting his hands protectively in front like soccer players standing in front of the goal, a bit put out to discover
just how much he was covering *giggles*.
But, being mischievous, he then proceeded to turn around, waving his butt at Rumple, who was totally mesmerized. Jerrie did scold her for staring at him
though, he was pointing at her as if saying: “There, I caught you, you did it again!”
Rebecca Louis has THE best Etcy scream imo. She makes an adorable, very playful kitten. Not as hyper as Sarah-Jane and probably a tad less mischievous,
more in need of a cuddle it seems.
Jake and Candice (Evans) were decoratively lounging on the mattress and just before Cassie joined the dancers - and John went off to hassle someone in
row J - Misto pulled her tail with a sweet mischievous grin *melts* Candice wears gold makeup round her eyes btw - we saw it as she lay on her back staring
at us today - makes for a lovely effect.
And another thing during ‘RTT’ - John kicked the ball of wool in direction of Jake who stood on the mattress, but didn’t get far enough. Misto had to come
down from his stand and, with an elegance I’m sure no soccer player will ever muster, kicked the ball offstage. ;D.
I got to hear Barbara (King) sing ‘Glamour Cat’ again - what a treat. Her voice is so beautiful, deep and haunting and she has so much emotion in it. I was as
taken with the song as I had been first time I heard her sing it. Wow. What a Demeter! *smiles*
For the first tom line up in ‘Bustopher’, Misto had to take charge of course, pushing Cassie away - how he leads her off without as much as touching her waist
with his arm is beyond me ;D. Candice went off to sulk on the car boot as usual.
It was Skimble who got the hat on the stage - he even dusted it off with his tail, before sinking onto it, holding his ‘aching’ back and waving some air to himself
in total exhaustion *giggles* He also admonished Billy (Joe Ryan, his usual cute and mischievous self) and Carby (Stori James) when they misbehaved.
However, Thomas’ Skimble is a scaredy-cat, with a tad of an inferiority complex it seems. He doesn’t really give the impression of being in charge. But I think
he’s totally adorable all the same *grins* Poor guy, he was crying at Misto’s shoulder after he’d failed to salute/shake hands properly with Bustopher. Jake
rolled his eyes, then patted his hands encouragingly. Victor (Jason Gardiner) took the hat offstage btw, hiding beneath it *cute*.
‘MJ and RT’ is one of my fave songs. And Kate’s giggle is totally infectious. She makes such a cute Rumple, very mischievous. Her voice is extremely high
pitched, fitting for the character imo. She’s cocky and won’t let Jerrie take the limelight *grins* She’s got attitude and poor Mungo has to be careful not to
get a slap from her ;D.
‘Old Deuteronomy’ was a surprise. Since I don’t much like David, I was afraid one of my fave songs would be ruined. But, since Mr. Ashley was singing
really quietly, one could hear John’s voice beautifully. They were in good harmony too. I really enjoyed that ;D.
‘Pekes & Pollicles’ gave me a shock. I saw my darling thundercloud (yes, I mean Oliver’s Cori ;D) laugh! *gasps* He slapped Jake’s hat clear off his head
and started grinning madly, throwing himself on the ground in merriment. It was funny to see Misto’s expression btw - I’ve noticed that Jake always holds the
back of his wig when taking off that hat, so as not to dislodge it *grins*
And did I mention that Tanto is quite brutal? Carby thought he could attack her - after all he had the advantage of height as she was sitting on the floor. But
hey, don’t mess with that twin, she attacked him with hisses and swipes and didn’t she win! *laughs*
When John came off the pipe as Munku was circling the stage, Deut protectively held his hands in front of Jemi’s eyes (Helen Baker was already drooling
over Tug by that time) to make sure she wouldn’t see that infamous pelvis thrust *giggles*
During the ‘Ball’ I noticed Electra (Julie Carlton) in particular. She’s a superb dancer, though she seems to be drowned out frequently. I have a hard time
spotting her on stage. She’s a quiet El, playful with a touch of seriousness that imo is becoming for the character.
Jake did seem to have trouble with his microphone’s wire (doesn’t he always have trouble with his mic? I can’t remember having ever seen him not trying to
straighten it ;D), but his pirouettes were flawless as always. As everyone leaned back before the mating dance, Vicky leant against Misto, her head on his
chest and he steadied her with his arm round her waist. Very carefully and softly as always, we’re having a true gentleman here after all ;D.
As usual, Jake slunk off with Etcy afterwards. During the second part of the ‘Ball’ I got a few glimpses of Adme’s dancing. I love Kenny, did I mention
that? ;D. Though not trained as a dancer as far as I know, he does exceedingly well, exuding elegance in his movements. *sighs*
Jake danced beautifully, working together very well with Carby throughout btw. Before the toms joined the queen’s dance, John was standing regally
surveying the scene, his arm around Sebastian who had his arm round John’s waist. They looked quite cosy before their group hug was joined by Adme.
Kenny did a lovely lift with Demeter btw.
Chrissie (Hammond) gave us one of the loveliest and most haunting ‘Memories’ I’ve heard. Her voice is beautiful and since she was singing very low it came
out wonderfully. Her movements still fail to convince me of the emotion so strongly evident in her voice though.
‘Moments of Happiness’ had me warming to Deut. Dave Willetts seemed quite changed, he was affectionate and warm, less harsh than I remember him. He
only once hissed at playing kittens (El, Etcy and Billy). Helen was very good as Jemi, though I still prefer Lindsey Wise overall and well, I’m very partial to
Rebecca Louis’ angelic voice for that part ;D. MJ and RT were cuddling throughout the song *adorable*.
‘Gus’ was a quiet affair, hardly any interaction. Jake was yawning and stretching up on the pipe and Jerrie pulled the blanket off the mattress before being
scolded by Bomba. Billy kneaded the mattress and rocked about until Julie (Barnes) gave him a funny look. Rebecca (Lock) was the usually brilliant Jelly
btw *smiles*
‘Growltiger’ was way cool. Skimble was adorable during his “canary” line, he was flapping his arms wildly about - I thought he’d take off any moment ;D -
just before being choked by Growl, the poor thing. Munk got kneed in the groin again, to Misto’s infinite amusement. In case no one ever noticed, that black
kitty is the only one who doesn’t get beaten up. Yeah, he’s clever, ain’t he? *grins*
Griddle held her “Sono Cui” for ages again - I really love it, it sounds so marvellous and Rebecca has a truly amazing voice. Her giggles are worse than
Rumple's - the moment she opens her mouth you gotta laugh ;D.
Loved the fight between Growl and Ghenghis. The former mouthed “Shit” as he received his sword, and then he started screaming, echoed by sharp, shrill
screams from the Mongolian leader - awesome how Oliver does that - it sounds really cool.
Thomas’ Skimble is a jovial cutie for all his fluttering and trembling. He does a fabulous Scottish accent which I appreciate particularly. I must admit that
Thomas’ voice didn’t sweep me off my feet, I prefer Ross’, which is deeper and fuller.
However, Thomas did a fantastic job - I’m totally awed by his ability to perform all the hand movements so flawlessly and elegantly. I’m taken with him, still
I think he’s too frightened than fits the character. As he was ‘undressing’, he gave a shriek, covering himself and turning away bashfully. *Cute* ;D.
Cassie picked a flea off Misto’s head in the train sequence and had him eat it with relish before he saluted at a passing Skimble with a grin. I noticed that
Victor was holding Thomas’ thigh as if steadying him as he stood on Billy’s back. I really don’t think Thomas likes heights. ;D
During ‘Macavity’ I tried once again to look at the background. I love Barbara’s voice though as I enjoy her interpretation. Julie Barnes has improved as
Bomb imo, although she’s still not my fave. Her movements are very graceful and sexy, yet her overall interpretation of the red cat is too cold and harsh for
my taste. *shrugs* just me.
Since David’s tabby isn’t exactly my thing, I concentrated on cute Maccy *coughs* . When Kenny says “I’ll be back for you!” - wow. It’s less of an ominous,
booming threat, more soft and somewhat enticing. His makeup is made up of a great many fine lines, looks absolutely stunning and compliments his face and
his dancing, beyond fluid *melts*. What I noticed was that Kenny didn’t actually touch the two ends of the cable together in time for the bang - seems
someone is more magical than we thought ;D.
And now to one of my favourite number overall - aren’t you surprised? *grins*. Sachmet told me Jake wasn’t wearing a bow tie, or at least it didn’t seem
like it. I didn’t notice I have to admit. I do believe there were more crystals on his costume, maybe I’m mistaken though. John was his usual ecstatic self -
he even broke free of the restraining hold El and Etcy had on him *yes, it looks as if they were holding him back* ;D to shout at the audience to clap.
Poor Tug seemed a bit hoarse though. Jake was sparkling (and no, I’m not talking about those crystals ;D. His presence on stage is enough.) and I counted
somewhere around 35 conjuring turns. His performance left me stunned *surprise* and I do think he might just have normal glitter on his face instead of those
little stones. *shrugs* And what a treat to see his facial expressions close up!
Chrissie was great during ‘Memory’, the second part was too loud for me though, as always. (Yes, I’m picky.) Her deep, soft first Memory is much more
to my liking.
‘Heaviside’ - nothing much happening there, I like the song though and the smoke *grins*. It smells funny and I love being engulfed in it ;D.
Melted into nothingness during ‘Addressing’ (yes, there was still a little of me left for all Jake’s charms ;D). Skimble and Misto both have such adorable facial
expressions. Jake was ‘wriggling’ his nose (see the vid’s Making of where he’s sitting in his chair getting his makeup on) *cute* and licked his lips at the
mention of “salmon pie”.
Credits and Curtain Call:
Here we saw El and Billy sitting in the pipe together (the Dress Circle was closed so they didn’t get to run about there), shaking and rocking about together.
They looked so adorable and kittenish! ;D Jake was clapping for Candice before showing her offstage and she was grinning widely.
Just before Kenny ran onstage for the Credits, he said something to Jake who’d been sitting beside the mattress with him - Jake started laughing madly,
bending onto the mattress. I’ve seldom seen anyone laugh that hard ;D. Looked absolutely adorable…would love to know what they were talking about.
*winks*
Misto asked Griz to dance as usual, but Tuggy interrupted with a little pout and “Hey!” As Jake stepped back, John caught him and danced him offstage,
stopping at the ramp for a moment to shout something and clap before Chrissie (who was grinning madly) shooed him off.

STALLS L 52, 53
Before starting this report I have to say that David has quite a nice voice, when he doesn’t shout (which he used to do just about each time I saw him before).
I listened to the short recitation before ‘Memory’ and he did it quite well. Still, I’m a diehard fan of Kenny’s tabby and will faithfully remain so ;D.
I was surprised to see that David’s interpretation of Munku has softened considerably (not only his voice - which could also be attributed to his being slightly
hoarse). But his crawling up to Misto on his knees before the latter says “Old Deuteronomy” imo looks totally inappropriate and out of place. *shrugs* my
opinion.
Julie Carlton totally convinced me as Vicky. I saw the great dancer she is yesterday, and she’s very kittenish and adorable. Quite a contrast to Emma Kerslake
whose Vic is elegant and poised at all times, but seems much older in a way. Less cheeky and with a touch of cool aloofness. Both interpretations are great imo
though ;D. Julie seems a little lost in thought even as Vicky - yet she’s smiling much more often than Emma I noticed.
Andrew (Wright) is such a cute Victor. He rocked along in Bustopher’s hat, hid underneath it during the Mac scare before stumbling offstage, that huge thing
half-covering him still ;D. He was flirting with Jemi during ‘Gus’ btw, they were casting sideward glances at each other, rubbing their heads and shoulders
together shyly, just adorable!
MJ and RT are the best! Kate always starts laughing when Adrian says “oops” after their smashing of the Ming vase - not at all contrite ;D. As the two of
them came out before ‘MOH’, Jerrie crawled on the floor along the last row of the moving platform which was empty, Rumple leaning onto the backs of the
seats above him. They scared a woman first, then made a man shriek in fright.
Constantly rolled about on top of each other, play fighting. They also hid themselves under Misto’s red blanket lying on the mattress all during ‘Memory’ and
only emerged when Chrissie had finished singing…wonder what they did down there *grins*
The catfight during ‘Gumbie’ is one of those little highlights of each show. It’s different every day, but always absolutely cute. Misto tried to catch Jenny’s
tail as she came out again today, rolling about on his back, swiping at it *argh*
When Stori (Carby) stabbed Jenny with his fork, Cori scowled, hitting him on the head between his antenna. (did I mention I love little thundercloud? ;D).
Skimble then came along and scolded Carby some more, running after him to make sure he kept in line while the poor kit sniffled after the rough treatment
he’d received. *cute*
During ‘Pekes & Pollicles’ Jelly and Cassie sat on the stairs beside us, exchanging glances as they dressed up in their outfits before making their way to the
stage with their own version of girl power ;D.
‘RTT’ has such great background segments, you really never know where to turn to ;D. Saw Jake sitting on the tire today, playing drums with his hands
crossed and his foot moving an imaginary pedal (and yes, it looked just as if they were there, makes me wonder if he’s actually drumming as a hobby ;D)
Shortly after, he used his tail to play guitar…someone building up a one-man band there? *grins*
During the ‘Ball’, Jake tried to join Tug, Adme and Al who were preparing to join the dancing queens. He walked up to them cockily, but as he put his arm
around Alonzo’s shoulders, he was waved off by the guys. He complained to Skimble, who just shrugged his shoulders ;D.
Emma Woods was on as El with that swing costume again - it’s so lovely to see her perform. She did the trapeze swinging instead of Etcy btw - and she did
seem to enjoy herself thoroughly, making those little cat yawns as she swung about. She looked so graceful and elegant - wow.
Helen is a great singer, but she tried for a much higher voice today - more in character with Jemi, but not her thing. It sounded a little strained and artificial.
She was singing deeper yesterday, came across much better imo. What I loved was the enthralled look she cast at the moon during her parts in “Daylight”
and “Memory”. She was the epitome of the sweet, innocent kitten.
I have given up counting Misto’s pirouettes, it’s more fun to watch Jake spinning and be able to dedicate a few seconds to glimpse at John’s exerting himself,
mumbling along - pity’s his mic’s off, would love to know what he’s saying *grins*.
Both MJ and Tug were kinda hoarse, the latter did of course call the audience to recognise Jake for the marvel he is again! And Skimble did start clapping for
Misto even before John said a word. Did I mention I love Thomas’ enthusiasm and warmth?! ;D
Before ‘Gus’, Tug held out his hand gallantly to help Misto up onto the pipe and as Jake passed he patted the small of his back. *argh* Tugger later got his
mane washed by enthusiastic Etcy as he lay in the pipe, Victor (Andrew) saw it, got jealous and made a fuss until he received a grooming from Etc as
well…*so adorable*
During the ‘Growltiger’ segment Munku was holding Misto by the shoulders, shaking him vigorously. I really have no idea why he should be doing something
like that, it seemed totally out of character and not exactly corresponding to the pirate role either…
Sachmet and I think that Jake meant to get back at David by hitting his canary, but since the latter ducked at the wrong time he got a slap instead which kinda
echoed through the theatre. Seemed like Munku’s lot that night was to be beaten up, he got kneed into the groin by Growl a few moments later… ;D
Skimble’s a treat, Thomas is doing the movements perfectly and with precision. And Rumple has a sneeze that’s loud enough to turn everyone’s attention
onto her. *laughs* Before the train was put together, Tug patted Misto’s back as he was walking past and Jake responded by giving a hip swing in John’s
direction ;D.
After the song, Jake put the red cloth into the car boot as usual and then, instead of his salute, he curtseyed very prettily *winks*.
During the ‘Credits’, Munku ran up the stairs and flung himself down there, making sure everyone was clapping (enthusiastically so, I had a hard time evading
his arms which he was waving about madly in front of my face) - only trying to quiet the response to Tugger (jealous, is he? ;D)…which didn’t work btw.
John only needs to set foot on the stage to have the audience cheering *grins*
Misto and Griz were dancing again as Tug came up, smacking Jake’s behind ;D. Jake tried to pout with an indignant “Hey!” as he held his backside, but he
was grinning too much to be taken seriously *grins*.
September 19, 2001 (evening)
MOVING PLATFORM A 11, 12
Sachmet and I met up with Jenny again…was lovely sitting there - had Victor coming out of the hole in front of us, but since we saw his arm warmers in the
dark he didn’t scare us ;D. Andrew’s a cutie and his makeup’s really lovely (I know, I know, I notice that kind of thing *grins*).
Skimble has dots with intricate lines that look kinda like ears of corn on his brows. Both he and Victor are grand during ‘Naming’. Thomas did a wonderful
recitation, emphasizing the words beautifully. I really enjoyed listening to him and I often snuck a peek at Andrew who was rolling about on his back, looking
at us upside down *adorable*
What I thought was really cute was Jake’s offering Jenny his hand to help her, but only when she had taken his hand did he grab her arm and pull her up from
where she lay on the floor after having slipped through between Munku’s legs. And Jake also assists Jenny from where she sits during ‘Memory’ before they
walk to their places for ‘Heaviside’.
Another catfight during ‘Gumbie’ - Misto and Al can’t control their kittenish side it seems *grins*. They were slinking about, throwing their tails in each other’s
way before batting the other’s ears and hitting each other over the head. They also had a bit of a fight as they sat “companionably” on the car boot before
Jake’s line during ‘RTT’.
I watched El a little more - did I mention she’s way cool? She seems to melt into the background, but once you’re actually watching - beware! A kitty that’ll
steal your heart, always grinning and quite cheeky. ;D
‘MJ & RT’ have two hand operated spotlights on them - you gotta watch those during the song - they’ll make you laugh. Those lights not only follow Mungo
and Rumple about the stage - they are star shaped and they ‘hop’ about too ;D. When Jerrie jumps over Teazer’s head, when they both move up or
down… *giggles*
During ‘Pekes & Pollicles’ Jake yelps highly (much like the short shrieking barks Billy makes ;D), he sounds like he was gasping *grins* Sachmet tells me
Misto was hitting Cori and being hit in return. *drat, I missed it ;D*
Gareth has changed his Growltiger interpretation btw. Very energetic, I must say I like him more and more now. Love those grimaces and the aria - together
with Rebecca that’s just formidable!
Griddle’s giggle - beware - if you don’t laugh after hearing THIS… Reminds me of Kate’s Rumple giggle. Totally infectious, high-pitched and with a touch of
cheekiness and mischievousness. Awesome.
Jake as a pirate is quite a sight - he tries for a rough, youthful delinquent sort of guy, distorting his face into a fearsome grimace ;D. And he seems mostly
annoyed with Growl, not as frightened as Skimble who was ready to faint each time he saw Gareth’s face *grins*
While the guys talk about the “peaceful summer night”, Jake pulls his shirt apart like a skirt, mimicking a sail (?!), or maybe the lady that makes the whole
scenario so very romantic *giggles*. Esp. the “sentimental side” comes out incredible deep from him, wow. His voice is so soft and warm it’s actually nice
to hear it out a little ;D.
And then came another llllllllooooooonnnnnnnnnggggg “Sono Cui” (I guess you get my meaning ;D), during which Misto stood there, enthralled, mouth wide
open, his knees almost buckling beneath his own weight. Skimble began crying and wiped his eyes with his neckerchief. He also remained standing frozen
as the note ended and the rest of the crew looked at Growl ready to kill him for singing his “mi amore” ;D.
Misto and Munku had a race up the car boot as usual, Jake winning and being the one to help Griddle down. Then they both flung their arms to the side, as
if to say “Tada, there she comes!” Jake ran after the lady then, twirling his tail.
Misto seemed to box Munku a little before shoving him towards Growl. Feeling safe, David (who’s quite a bit taller than Gareth), hugged Growl’s belly - to
be kneed in the groin *giggles*
David managed to hit his head on the car boot as he was going off stage. He was looking back over his shoulder, I can only assume he was staring at
Griddle’s behind…bad pirate ;D.
Ghenghis did his cute little high pitched shrieks again, Growl keeping to the ‘manly baritone’ version - with a hoarse touch thrown in. The rough pirate captain
alright ;D. Gareth is quite cheeky too, after having been vanquished he lies sprawled on the floor, only to look up, stick out his tongue and then wriggle around
the stage on hands on knees *grins*.
What I esp. liked was how after the song ended and Gus was walking off the stage, Gareth paused for a moment to pull back his shoulders, putting on a brave
face before stalking down the ramp. *applauds*
Victor at least had Jemi to flirt with a little, but Cassie was quite harsh - refusing to let him take her hand in the line that jumped up and down the stage during
‘Skimble’. Candice actually offered her hand, pulling it back at the last moment. Andrew made a movement I can only interpret as “Drat, not again” before
going off to sulk on his own.
Oh, and talking about ‘Skimble’…someone was in high spirits today ;D. Deut, Jenny and Victor sat on the tire, grinning wildly as they pulled an imaginary
whistle as they hooted. What I thought was the cream was the sleeping car part where Skimble talked about “creeping into cosy berths” - they had their arms
outstretched and were waving them about (Deut always taking the opposite direction) in front of them in time to the music.
There was no smoke coming from the train today btw. What I love is that softly hooting noise the cast makes after “cup of tea”. It sounds fabulous and it’s
very quiet, giving a bit of a dreamy atmosphere. *smiles*
For ‘Macavity’ - Julie and Barbara sound very well together. I was concentrating on the lighting and the background dancing though *hides* - fab as always.
El hid in the pipe in front of us, totally crawling inside and not emerging until it was her turn to get on the stage and start dancing. She is tiny ;D.
The fight - I love Maccy. *yes, I know, Maccyholics anonymous… ;D* He’s so elegant and well…charming. If I had to chose I’d prefer him over Munku -
guess Barbara’s Demi shares my view, she seemed quite reluctant about being rescued from Kenny’s arms *grins*. This Maccy tries for meanness, and there’s
no famous “Clinton smirk” there, yet I do adore him ;D.
‘Mistoffelees’ once again reduced me to one giant sigh. You can hear a group *argh* running through the theatre each time Jake kisses out the spotlight at the
end of his number. Since I was glancing at overenthusiastic John from time to time I didn’t quite count the pirouettes, but Sachmet told me Jake was well over
thirty ;D.
What I think is the most adorable thing ever is Tug’s trying to do magic with Misto. As Jake pulls the red cloth to the centre of the stage, John is pulling up his
gloves and then he curls the lock on his forehead into shape (which sticks up as a frizzle of hair due to this treatment *grins*). He will then point with a huge
grin to the cloth while the drum beats, pouting uncomprehending when Misto doesn’t get Deut back after two tries.
Annoyed, he wriggles his hands about mimicking Jake, before clapping his hands and waiting impatiently for the cloth to be pulled away. And then his face
falls - wow. That grimace - total awed shock *too cute* And his “oh well” then *melted*
I finally heard what John’s saying as he claps wildly after the conjuring turns. He calls into the audience to “Come on, give it up, yeah!” - and he gives the
best possible example of boundless enthusiasm *giggles* And as he and Jake do that ‘hip wriggling’ thingy Sachmet and I think he said “Come on” as well,
though we’re not entirely sure.
As Jemi sings “Daylight” she has a spotlight on her, what I never noticed before was that Deut is also illuminated (if dimly) by another light - interesting,
considering he’s the only one standing, lends him more of a mystical aura imo. Very nice touch. *smiles*
As you might have guessed, the lighting is quite interesting for us, esp. for Sachmet. Trying to work out where the lights are coming from is quite fascinating…
Did I mention there is sometimes a rainbow coloured light for ‘Addressing’? ;D
During that song we had MJ and Billy in front of us. Joe’s grin is among those you just can’t resist, same goes for that huge smile he wears while dancing.
Did I mention I find Bill absolutely and utterly adorable? *grins*
Credits:
Jerrie grabbed Vic’s tail with his teeth and she looked back at him, grinning. Rumple was just in time to see Emma swinging her hips ever so slowly, each
movement watched avidly by a drooling Jerrie. Not even Teazer’s vigorous slaps onto Adrian’s head helped, he was enthralled and paid no attention to his
partner in crime who started pouting as she turned away.
According to Sachmet, Cori pushed Misto and then was chased off stage by the latter. ;D Jake was again adorably annoyed at being smacked on his
behind - and John was grinning just as wildly as he was. *grins*
September 20, 2001 (evening)
DRESS CIRCLE G 34, 35
Finally some seats where Sachmet got a good view of her lighting effects ;D. I kinda like sitting upstairs too now and then to get a bit of an overview of the
stage and the dancing. And it’s cool to have the lights pointed out to you - thanx Sachmet ;D.
Since we had no Etcy today, Jemi sang her line in ‘Jellicle Songs’ as well as swinging on the trapeze. MJ filled in for the missing kitten during ‘Skimble’,
gossiping with Vic while swinging his hips and twirling his tail. Seemed like a mischievous school boy *grins*. And during ‘RTT’ we heard Helen’s (Jemi)
version of the Etcy scream. Wow. She got everyone’s attention that’s for sure ;D.
During ‘Naming’ I had Kenny in front of me *sighs dreamily*. Such a treat! I guess I’ve mentioned once or twice (or more often ;D) that I adore his voice
and his recitals. He was staring at the people in the front row and then he rubbed his head against someone’s leg. *melted* Sebastian made a split jump as
he ran past us in the aisle - I was afraid he’d fall off.
I got a wish of mine granted today - I saw Peter Bishop as Deut. *happy smile* I love his voice, though it is more fitting for Bus/Gus than for Old D imo. It’s
not deep enough for the role if you ask me (what you won’t be doing ;D).
I figured I actually like both Peter and Dave equally well as Deut. Peter has an extra bit of warmth and consideration in his interpretation and his singing is more
of a recital. I really like that - it is quite a different approach esp. for ‘Addressing’, but it works exceptionally well for me ;D.
What I really, really enjoyed though was that Jake actually got to jump into Peter’s arms after having brought him back. He never does that with Dave. And I
do so love that scene in the video! *grins happily*
Another small Cassie today - Rebecca Louis. She surprised Sachmet and me by her solos - who’d have thought she’d manage such a rich deep tone of
voice? Wow. That woman is absolutely incredible! Though she’s very good there is a little of the Cass attitude missing in her interpretation. Her movements
are fluid and graceful to be sure, but she isn’t aloof enough, a bit too kittenish perhaps.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I love Emma Woods as Demi. She’s sharing first place in my favourites list with Barbara ;D. Totally different interpretations,
but both so well thought through and put together - stunning. I enjoy seeing Emma perform and she works wonderfully together with Julie Barnes.
Since Emma was playing Demi she was heavily flirting with…Misto ;D. In fact, that odd rumour about her and Munku being a couple - she seems to warm
up to the little black guy just as much if not more as to the tabby…
During ‘Gumbie’, Jake flung his tail about with his foot as he kneeled (don’t ask me how that works ;D) and Sebastian couldn’t resist tugging at it (has he ever
been able to resist an invitation to a catfight?! *giggles*) Did I mention that poor little Al wraps himself around Jelly’s leg when Griz appears? Someone’s still a
kitten ;D.
Misto pulled Cassie’s tail during ‘Old D’ btw and they made a show of themselves as they paraded about 19th century style to take their places for
‘Heaviside’ - Jane Austen would’ve been proud. *winks*
As Misto got up from the ground and Munku patted his chest and back after having figured that Old D is close by, Victor slid through Jake’s legs as Jenny
does during ‘Gumbie’. Misto stepped over Clinton with more elegance than Munk in the same situation though he’s kinda dwarfed by Clinton ;D. Victor got
a head rub then as he remained on his knees until Jake had run offstage to get Deut.
During ‘Pekes & Pollicles’ we heard a few cute little doggie yelps from Jake and some great howling coming from Andrew. Scary ;D. Tanto beat up Carby
again and she was vastly pleased with herself (GO Tanto!)
Misto and Billy made a bet as to who could bark the loudest - Misto won ;D. Tug stood on the pipe as he played his bagpipes the second time - he let them
play alone for a while though, before grinning madly with an “I got ya, I fooled ya!” expression before resuming his playing.
No Etcy today meant that Misto had to recline on the mattress during parts of the ‘Ball’ and since he had no partner he was all alone during the mating dance.
Sachmet and I were wondering what he was gonna do, since he couldn’t very well skip that part as he’s supposed to end up in the group huddle.
I knew he was just about the best dancer I’ve ever seen, but I had not thought he was THAT agile and flexible! Epitome of grace and such fluid
movements…whoa.
Apart from this little spotlight stretching *wow* he imitated Tug during ‘RTT’ - to perfection. If he had stood in the middle of the stage one might have easily
mistaken him for Tuggy ;D.
A very nice touch of Peter’s as Old D was the way he softly touched Munku’s hands as he stood there in a protective stance after the Mac scare (just before
Misto starts shaking behind him), leaning forward. It looked as if he were completing a circle, elegant is all I can call it ;D.
During the ‘Ball’, Jake seemed to play guitar with his tail as he did his turns…don’t ask me how he did that while spinning… I suppose it’s just cause he’s
magical *winks*
Chrissie left me speechless today. It might be cause the sound doesn’t carry up to the Dress Circle or that her mic was tuned down - I couldn’t care, she was
so splendid. Wow. Her singing was a treat. Absolutely marvellous. For some reason David shouted again today, not as much as he usually does but I still found
it a tad annoying. *shrugs*
Andrew was on as Cori. He’s wonderful, though I have to admit I actually missed “thundercloud” (who’d have thought I’d love Oliver’s grumpiness that
much *grins*). Andrew did a fab job, esp. with the synch parts. It was a treat to finally hear him sing a solo. *beams* I can’t help but adore his voice, it’s so
beautiful.
As Ghenghis, Andrew didn’t try for any accent I could have discerned, but he said “Sampans” in a really high-pitched tone. And that was the only word he
said that way - cool. The fight with Growl was less rough (on Ghenghis’ side at least ;D), though Andrew is very energetic - when he cut the air with the
swords…whoa *grins*
As for the ‘fearless’ pirates (might I mention that the small black one is the only fearless among them? ;D), Munku started bawling when Misto proposed he
go to Growl. Now, Jake didn’t show any pity, mimicking the crying tabby in a “Gosh, aren’t we a baby” sort of way before pushing him towards the
captain *grins*.
Oh, I just think I ought to say Gareth was fabulous and thrilling today.
And Sachmet and I finally got to see Clinton Brown in a Victor costume ;D. He has, until now, excelled in every role we’ve seen him in. Wow. He’s amazing
and devastatingly handsome *blushes and hides*
Vic and Rumple were pulling one of the train hinges and kept bickering - then Teaze turned to Deut who ended up getting the whole hinge into his stomach
accidentally as he leant forward to calm them - he staggered back, landing on the stairs to the tire with a slight thud and a grin ;D.
Victor was using his tail to pull the whistle *argh* and he was most pleased with his clever idea. Not that the famous “Clinton smirk” ever left his face ;D. He
also had Misto leaning against him and gave him a stomach scratch *cuteness*. Those two were always grinning at each other and seemed quite thick pals ;D.
Before the ‘Credits’, El and Billy came up to us. El played with a coat she found lying draped enticingly across a seat. She’d pull at it and jump back as it
slipped in her direction *cute* But she didn’t focus her attention on it too long for Billy found something far more interesting - a bag pack which he held up
like a trophy, with an ear-to-ear grin.
As they ran past us to the pipe from where they were going to climb down onto the stage, Billy jumped (yes, you read right. The aisle is very narrow and he
came up to the height of the railing.) in the air. Goodness, he gave me a scare.

STALLS J 16, 17
We went with Jenny again - Carby crawled past us before ‘Naming’ and then we had Rumple in front of us. Kate did a lovely high voiced sing-song recitation
which wasn’t only very original but also fitting for her character. Before she went off to watch Vic dance she scratched across my thighs ;D.
Al and Misto had their cute catfight again during ‘Gumbie’, but what I really have to mention is the pirouette Jake does in front of the open car boot after Billy
has appeared in his cockroach costume. Now that is what I would call the epitome of elegance. *melts*
During ‘RTT’ Jake was playing oboe/saxophone - I’m beginning to wonder if he’s intent on going through every musical instrument the orchestra has *winks*
and then he knelt behind El and mimicked the female kittens in their shoulder shaking for “I only like what I find for myself”. I can’t help feeling Jake wants to
dance along all the time, he’s almost always in motion as it is.
John was hard at work trying to further his bad boy image (I still think he’s adorable ;D) by hassling a woman to our left, squeezing in between her seat and
her neighbour’s and then breaking off a junk of chocolate (or muesli bar) her neighbour had lying in her lap.
He was chewing frantically on that while he kissed the head of a bald guy and as he was back on stage (still chewing) he was trying to suppress a grin - had to
eat in a hurry to be able to actually be able to finish singing his song *grins*.
Tug shot the ball of wool in Misto’s general direction, but he was too high so that Munku caught it neatly in one hand and refused to let Jake pitch it up (though
he was standing on the mattress, holding out his hands in imitation of a volleyball movement).
I gotta admit it once and for all - I love Oliver aka Thundercloud Cori ;D. Though he was actually seen smiling *gasps* quite frequently today as if he were
hard pressed to maintain his bad temper. I noticed that he paints his ears black so they won’t stand out against his wig. Cool touch.
Had our naughty Victor aka Andrew Wright back - it seems to be very much his role, he enjoys himself so thoroughly. Poor guy, during ‘Bustopher’ he is so
worried at the mention of “winkles” and totally confused when “shrimps” are mentioned *giggles* He also has to ask either Misto or Admetus where “Blimps”
is situated, it’s so adorable to watch those three talking, nodding and pointing ;D.
Dave Willetts was back as Old D - he seems to be going soft on everyone, was very warm and loving tonight. He pulled Jemi’s face into his fur (Sachmet and
I were wondering when he’d totally wrap her up in his costume ;D) to hide that “improper movement” Tug makes at the beginning of ‘Pekes & Pollicles’ from
the young one *grins*
Carby was again trying to fight Tanto - bad move, he lost his shoe box during a high kick aimed at her and Tant kept it from him until she was kind enough to
return it so he could join the pollicle line up ;D. Don’t mess with that twin! ;D
During the ‘Ball’ Misto was alone once more (sitting on the mattress for the partner dance), but he really made the most of it. Goodness, that man is just
amazing! Clinton lifted Vicky (very elegantly as he always does) and after he had draped her across Skimble, Misto had drawn close enough to touch her
hands with his - looked way cool. There’s a rainbow light for the mating dance btw. And Sachmet and I have figured out where the gobos (1) are! ;D.
As Jake did his turns at the ‘Ball’ I’m pretty sure he was shaking his head from side to side as for “statistical cats” in ‘Jellicle Songs’. Since my view of him
was a little hindered I can’t be entirely sure though.
‘Growltiger’ gave us another lovely instances of our fave naughty pirate - Misto (not that he isn’t mischievous throughout the whole show, mind you ;D). He
was very subtly mimicking a few pelvic thrusts (Tug look-alike contest anyone? *grins*) in Griddle’s direction though it can be supposed that he thinks she’s
way too good for the likes of his captain ;D.
Angel voice was on as Jemi - yes, I mean Rebecca Louis who is a treat to watch. Apart from being a sweet kitten (the one who took Etcy’s place on the
trapeze and in screaming for Tugger which she does marvellously) she gets Jemima across so perfectly. Every time she sings I can’t help but look at her, totally
mesmerized.
Now, I have two fave Admes/Maccys - Kenny Linden and Clinton Brown and today we saw the latter. I wish he’d get to sing more - his voice, like Andrew’s,
is amazingly beautiful, pity there aren’t a lot of solos for either of them usually.
Saw Clinton mouth a “Come on” to David during the catfight before he threw him across half the stage (it’s really fascinating how real those falls look, kinda
scary in a way) and he was motioning for Sebastian to jump onto his back when he was ready.
The Old D mask fell off Clinton’s face at the precise moment that Emma flung herself at him and the poor guy was sorely missing his Maccy tail. No cookies
for the costume department on that - poor guy… *grins*
While we’re talking about ‘Macavity’ - Helen Baker is one grand Bomba. She’s got the attitude, she’s very flirty, maybe seeming a tad too young (though that
could also be an after effect of seeing her as Jemi ;D). Love her voice and her facial expressions - she’s very catlike and her movements are at all times catlike,
fluid and sensual.
I finally saw why Demi doesn’t put up more of a fight when she’s “catnapped” btw. As Mac came towards her after she’d unmasked him, he held out his hand
as he later does with Munku. Demi fell back, stunned and when Cassie waved her hand in front of Dem’s face she showed no reaction whatsoever, getting up
and moving towards Maccy.
She only seemed to wake up out of her trance when Clinton grabbed her and flung her across his shoulder (and I still say it looks as if she were going to fly
straight across the stage, he’s so energetic ;D) and then puts up a fight, culminating in a kick at Maccy when he’s forced to put her down again.
Clinton was grinning throughout the show as usual - I can’t help smiling myself when he plays Mac, even during the catfight (probably because the poor guy
was less imposing without his tail *giggles*)
Sachmet and I believe that the henchrats are played by Cori and Carby, one of the fake Macs seems to be Deut, the other could be played by Skimble,
perhaps Tugger. I guess it changes depending on who plays whom as well.
During ‘Macavity’ I also had a nice view of MJ who was on all fours in the aisle to our left, rotating his hips in imitation of Demi and Bomba. Pity he doesn’t
get a chance to dance with the queens ;D. Jerrie took Etcy’s place gossiping with Vic again today.
Before John starts singing ‘Mr. Misto’ (the stage still dark), MJ was pulling the tails of Jenny and Jelly who were lying on their stomachs. It took them a while
to notice what he was doing and as soon as they did they turned back and gave him “the glare” ;D.
For the ‘Misto nr’ I counted approx 32 conjuring turns, I noticed that Jake is turning in perfect harmony with the drum beats. Did I mention he’s amazing?
Tug obviously thought so too, he was twirling Rumple’s and Jemi’s tails madly and as soon as Jake was done with the pirouettes, he screamed “Yeah, give
it up!” again, clapping madly and adding, even louder “He’s great!” Next thing he shouted was “Fabulous!”
Talk about being carried away there *grins* And that from cold and aloof Tugger? Oh well, poor John can’t make me see him as arrogant, no matter how
hard he tries - his bad boy image is seriously cracked and shatters irrevocably the moment Jake starts dancing ;D. Did I mention I love that? *laughs*
Victor and Jelly came up to us before the ‘Curtain Call’ to sniff at Jenny and as Deut ran offstage he slapped the hands of people in row J like a real
sportsman. Let us reconsider the old guy… ;D. Jake was sitting with his legs crossed on the mattress and laughing madly when Old D came onstage with his
little jump (very agile of Dave, considering he’s wearing a costume like that ;D)
Griz, Tug and Misto were holding hands and trotting down the ramp in single file tonight - when Jake let go, John kept a firm grip of Chrissie’s hand and led
her off.

DRESS CIRCLE H 17, 18
I like sitting upstairs as I probably mentioned before, though a group of kindergarten children were sitting in front of us. But we were in luck - they were pretty
quiet during the show itself.
As the cast ran across the theatre with their blinking eyes, John was right in front of us and he pushed his face as close to the guy in the front row as he could,
before turning the lights on - grinning of course ;D.
Billy was in front of us for ‘Naming’ - totally adorable! I couldn’t really describe Joe’s voice, it totally fits him and his character, but it sounds…different. I’ve
never heard the like before ;D.
Heard Jake whoop once at the end of ‘Gumbie’ and Sachmet and I are pretty sure it was him who gave a cry during the ‘Ball’ once as well - the music
crescendoed (if that word exists ;D) during that part though, so we can’t be 100% sure.
Munku seemed to feel quite friendly today, for he let Jake pitch the ball of wool offstage with a volleyball movement during ‘RTT’.
To my great disappointment Carby actually won his fight against Tanto during ‘Pekes & Pollicles’ - he was driving her back and she was hopping away on her
knees, very catlike. Tant was really put out and hissing madly - and since she couldn’t get at him, she scared Skimble half to death ;D.
Sachmet saw Tanto descending on Munku like a vengeful angel once too, neither of us knows why she was so angry with him though. And she was sneezing
into the silence just after memory as she lay on the car boot ;D.
I noticed today for the first time that Misto drops onto his behind like a sack of potatoes with an expression of pure annoyance on his face after Tug has broken
through the jig dancers with his bagpipes.
In the peke vs. pollicle line up, Misto let Bomba scratch his chest, leaning against her to give her better access *cute* - though that didn’t stop him from
shooting her with his tail a little later on as he sat on the floor. ;D
As the toms danced at the ‘Ball’, Jake was saying something to Oliver, I think he might have tickled him on the shoulder as well or something - poor Cori had
a very hard time maintaining his dancing and a straight face, he was threatening to break out laughing *grins*
Once again Misto was all alone for the mating dance, stretching out and going for a few languid and slow almost splits *ouch*. Before touching Vicky’s hands
with his as she lay draped across Skimble I saw him hit Cori on the head lightly.
During ‘Gus’, Misto lay on the pipe, huddled together and fell asleep from boredom while Tugger, lying further down very slowly raised his hand in a gesture
of defeat as he shot himself in the head.
I ought to mention that Misto always makes a point of draping his tail over the edge of the pipe before settling down, now and then he whacks it against the
metal too - deliberately out of the rhythm of the song btw ;D.
Had Ross Finnie as Skimble - much as I love Thomas I gotta give Ross the credit for having a calmer and less frantic interpretation than him. Bustling and
important yes, but not scared or easily frightened. I also like Ross’ voice better since it’s deeper. Missed the Scottish accent though ;D
I think I ought to mention that the costume department decided to take pity on Maccy and return his tail. It does somehow compliment the ginger one’s look
I gotta say *laughs*
Before John began on ‘Mr. Misto’ I noticed Vic on the stage, sprawled out in total abandonment on her back - the same way she falls after a dead faint
induced by Misto’s smiling at her with a wink during his dance. I can’t help but say it looked rather…inviting, but not exactly elegant *grins*
There’s one thing I’ve quite often noticed about John’s interpretation of this particular song though I’ve not mentioned it before. It’s his pronunciation of the
word “black”. As you might have noticed I’m quite fond of poetry and language - and I gotta admit that I’ve never heard John utter a word in a more sexy
way. It’s hard to describe - kind of a drop in his voice, making it a tad deeper and more husky. Wow. Each time I hear that I’m done for ;D.
And while I’m rambling on about pronunciation - Jake makes a little pause after “terrible” to deliver “bore” in a different tone of voice - a ‘bored’ tone of
voice, with a cheeky sideward glance at Tug before he licks his lips and runs off. It’s totally different to the way he treated that line in the video.
Jake makes a little flourish with his hands (kind of like a tap to an imaginary hat and then the little twirl of the hand that MJ and RT do before bowing to each
other during their song) as he sings “Brummel of Cats”.
We had Rebecca Louis as Jemi again (she was swinging on the trapeze in Etcy’s stead again, as well as taking her line and her scream during ‘RTT’) - each
time she sings she inevitably draws my eyes on her.
Her voice is beguiling and irresistibly sweet and powerful at the same time. She also manages to convey every little bit of emotion with it and she has a lovely
way of emphasizing the words…sounds as if she were reciting poetry *melted*
As the tire was lifted during ‘Heaviside’, I saw Adme and Old D touch hands lightly *argh*.
After the ‘Credits’, MJ was again staring intently at Vic’s behind, Rumple was glaring daggers at Vicky’s sweet, mischievous smile and whacked him on the
head with her tail a few times, before giving up and going off, totally heart-broken.

MOVING PLATFORM A 8, 9
Julie Carlton was on as Vicky, she’s so adorable and I loved watching her dancing and her movements. Esp. the mating dance was beautiful. She’s so small
compared to Clinton and the lift looks just that bit cooler for it. Though the white costume really isn’t the best thing to wear when a guy rubs his head against
one’s stomach *grins*.
Adme left smears of his darker makeup on Vic’s hip and belly. Not that you saw any of it missing on his face though - and Julie came out after intermission
looking as pristinely white as before - either she got a quick wash ;D or she changed her unitard altogether.
While we’re talking about costumes - Clinton’s Adme has a greyish colouring, Sachmet says that the look is part George, part Ad. I noticed that during the
‘Ball’ Clinton didn’t wear armwarmers, though he had them in the second half of the show. I couldn’t say whether he took them off before the dance or just
wasn’t wearing them at all for part I though.
Quite a few funny things today since there were loads of people missing - no Etcy, no El and no Victor. For example we got to see Tugger shaking his hips for
only two kittens - he seemed kinda alone in the middle of the stage there, though his expression was as mischievous and cocky as ever.
Jemi’s loud, wild screech and Vicky’s breathless open adoration did somehow make up for the lack of half his fan club though ;D.
Tanto didn’t get the chance for a catfight with Carby since she had to take on being a pom (she wore those white frills at any rate ;D) - but she did throw
herself at Skimble, who wasn’t as easily scared as before, but at least showed signs of surprised shock.
Since neither Victor nor Etcy were present for the toms/queens dance, we saw Skimble (Stori James) do the lift with Jemi. And very nicely too. Was quite a
surprise to see him on stage for that part though, I didn’t notice him at once ;D.
And I also ought to mention Alonzo’s inability to catfight with Misto during ‘Gumbie’ since he was put into a cockroach costume and tap-danced. Looked
way cute, though he seemed to concentrate esp. hard on getting the steps right.
Sachmet and I were wondering at his being able to fill in at all since he normally doesn’t do this part and doesn’t even understudy a role where he might be
required to do it. Al also danced along during ‘RTT’ to fill in for absent Victor.
Poor Misto was “assaulted” twice during ‘Gumbie’, even without Alonzo’s being there - MJ tapped his behind with his spoon as he was walking offstage
while the cockroaches filed in. And then, to my great surprise, Cori was being extremely naughty - dancing behind Jake at the end of the song, he was edging
forward with a huge grin on his face, before hitting him on his butt too, with his hand though.
Tug managed to kick the ball of wool clear offstage tonight, much to Misto’s annoyance who had so wanted to play with it again.
Andrew is an adorable and mischievous Carby, interesting makeup, reminded me of the one Tumblebrutus has in the video. He’s also huge compared to Jake
(*surprise*, after all Andrew’s one of the tallest cast members as it is ;D) - looks funny to see them dancing during the ‘Ball’.
Tanto almost broke into a laughing fit when she saw Carb coming onstage dressed as a pollicle - Andrew had something green hanging from the rubber band
beneath his chin. (I thought it looked like a bit of cloth, Sachmet thinks it were little stones or plastic chips.)
Helen was turning around on the floor like a nervous kitty to hide the smile, all the while trying to point out to Andrew he had something there… It was Deut
who waved him over and got whatever it was off of him though ;D.
Tug offered his bagpipes to the guy behind us in passing btw, saying, “Wanna play my pipes?” The guy declined it seemed, for John stalked off.
While the toms danced during the ‘Ball’, Jake stood amongst them. Sachmet thinks he was there to fill the void left by Victor. And the poor guy was alone yet
again for the mating dance, but since quite a few couples were reduced, he got a bit of a cuddle from Skimble, Rumple and Billy in passing. Jake also had to sit
on the mattress again during the partner dance, and he was playing guitar with his tail to pass the time *argh*
When Bomba came back on stage for ‘MOH’, Carby grinned at her and gave her a look that plainly said she was ‘the’ queen for him ;D. During the song,
Andrew grinned at us and Stori lay in front of Sachmet, refusing to budge until he’d gotten a smile out of her *cute*
Another Skimble today - Stori does very well indeed. Still, he didn’t convince me as much as Ross or Thomas (yes, I know, I’m turning out to be a fan of
his ;D), though I must say that Stori’s voice is absolutely stunning. I liked his performance of Jerrie very much, and he excelled in the ‘Skimble’ song. Wow.
As the train fell apart and Jelly was rolling in front of us, beginning to giggle. My, she makes one want to laugh out hysterically when she does that. *giggles*
It’s hard to describe, just a very high pitched, sing-song sort of giggle, much like Rumple’s and just as infectious.
Oh, I ought to mention that too - there were only four queens dancing during ‘Macavity’ in the background - namely Vicky, Jemi, Cassie and Tant. Rumple’s
been lounging on the tire for a while now, keeping away as do Jenny and Jelly. Billy was peeking across the dish where the ball of wool is usually kept before
‘RTT’, and he was throwing kisses at Bomba.
Sachmet and I have been discussing whether or not Jake’s wearing his microphone batteries for the ‘Misto nr.’ and we’ve come to the conclusion that he
probably takes them off. It would make sense not to burden him for that dance, esp. since he’s wearing a heavy jacket in the beginning. We also noticed that
Jake’s “Presto” is quite soft even though he seems to shout it out. He isn’t to be heard too well during ‘Addressing’ either, though since he’s singing in the
group it wouldn’t be too obvious.
End credits: Carby and Billy were trying to push each other away from the edge of the stage, each of them throwing their arms to the side and grinning wildly
at us with a “Tada, look at me, here I am expression”. *argh, so cute* When Deut came to kneel in front of us after the ‘Curtain Call’, he winked at us and
started grinning madly when we smiled ;D.
