Modifications

In this section you will find out about the many modifictions which i have done to my feroza and information on how i carried out these mods. If you need any more info send me a mail.

  1. 3" Suspension lift- Series 2000 rear leaf springs, OME shock absorbers, front torsion bars wound up, front bumbstops cut down almost flush with control arms.

  2. 2" Body lift- Custom made stainless steel blocks, soon to be replaced with pre-made blocks from Maquarie 4x4 for legal resons.

  3. Extended Rear Shackles- Extended to 75mm which gives around 1" more lift in the rear, these are soon to be replaced with revolver shackles from big balls off road which will drop the rear a little but will give me a massive rear travel increase, and these are legal on the road! The shackles on there at present are illegal to drive on road.

  4. Front locked diff- Basically the front diff is just welded to be locked, cheap and effective way to have a locker since companys just wont make lockers for the feroza. I have no complaints whatsoever on doing this, i have increased my offroad ability to where i amaze myself.

  5. Ceramic Clutch- I wore my first clutch out really easily, due to the fact that i have to ride the clutch a fair bit when rockhopping i needed a clutch that could take the punishment. I can ride this clutch all day and it will still pick up where i set it, and it wont heat up and fade. The flywheel from factory is made strong enough to take this aswell.

  6. Custom Rear Storage System- This has a series of shelves, pull out container draws and a cargo barrier to keep all my camping gear in order, thanks Mike!!

  7. Am and UHF CB's- Both are from GME, the am one is the TX822 model and is mounted under the steering wheel on the steering column. The uhf one is the TX3400 remote face and is mounted on the roof between the sun visors.

  8. 31" Hankook Mud Terrain Tyres- These are mounted on 15x7" offset sunraiser rims for increased wheel track.

  9. Transfer Case Bash Plate- This is made out of 7mm thick stainless steel. This has saved me so many times, well worth doing.

  10. Finer Filter High flow air filter- More power as it can be kept clean and you only need to buy it once.

  11. Optima 1000cca Battery

  12. High Clones in air intake- This provides more power by around 5% and uses less fuel.

  13. Sound System- Comprises of a Sony Explod CD player, 2 x Sony Explod 900W Subwoofers in 2 x 1cuft enclosures, 2 x 900W Saint 4 channel amplifiers, Kenwood 7 x 10s, Phillips Midrange Splits.

  2. Big Balls Offroad Climax

  3. Extended rear brake lines for climax shackles
