Sponsorship of a ferret is simply the process of supporting a ferret that cannot leave the shelter. You send treats, money, or whatever the ferret needs to the shelter, and we care for the ferret here.
Why can't the ferret leave the shelter?
Ferrets that are up for sponsorship are either sick and in need of medical care, or are just too old to be relocated. Sometimes, a ferret comes to us on his last legs, and will only live for a year or so. We keep these ferrets at the shelter to make sure they are comfortable and happy until they pass away.
How do you sponsor a ferret?
We have a list of ferrets needing sponsorships that can be obtained by calling the shelter itself. Since the ferrets change on a regular basis, please call for more information or to choose a furkid to help.
What will I get for my sponsorship?
We are working on a sponsor packet which will include pictures of the ferret, information on his current condition, what he's been up to, and what your sponsorship has done. We are also hoping for a monthly update on each ferret to the sponsor.
