Snow

Age: 3 years old

Color: Albino

A.K.A: Sharky, Snooble- Doobles,  ( Snooble- Dooble- Doo)

Favorites: Ferretone, Baby food, treats of any kind.

Favorite toys:  His tennis ball, anything on a string he can chase, us , & his Cat Magic!

Favorite Ferret Games: Towel- riding, chasing his bell balls, playing with the other ferrets & Magic kitty.

Favorite Sleeping Spots: under our couch somewhere or curled up with one his ferret family.

Snow was my second ferret & he was given to me. The previous owners (husband) mistreated him, smacking, shaking, & yelling at him when he would have an accident or do something he wasn't supposed to.
   One day the husband was holding him in his face screaming at him & Snow took a chunk of his nose.  He told his wife that if Snow wasn't gone when he got home from work he would kill him. Lucky for snow someone knew them that knew me.

The husband still has a scar on his nose to this day.( Which is what he gets...)

He was a very bad biter when we got him,
It has taken a very long time for him to trust us. He was scared of hands & bit (correction, CHOMPED)  very, very HARD.

Timeouts didn't really have much effect,(though they work for some ferrets, I used time outs for Bones - but he had never been mistreated.)

Love & patience paid off. It just took time
for him to trust us. I play with him now & he PLAY nips my fingers he gives me kisses, licking my mouth. ( But I do keeep those short-just in case.Last year he was giving me kisses & I got a little 'lets just see what you taste like' nip.)

I watch him closely with company & put him in his cage if children are over.

When people ask if the ferrets bite, my husband says "Snow bites a little bit."

He is our Sharky!

Snow is very loving with the other ferrets. he thinks it is his job to clean everyones ears. He is more of a 'ferret ferret' than a 'people ferret'.
He loves us, too, though & we chase each other every day!
