The Ferrets of Mischief Rainbow Bridge
This page is dedicated to those pets who have passed on. And it's not a funny topic, but it's hard for most people who have pets that passed away. This page is built as a memorial to my pets, not just ferrets, who cross this bridge. --Melanee

Lady & Frisky
*Lady March 1995 - Summer 1997* *Frisky March 1995 - Summer 1998*
These two hamsters are our second and third pets. The story goes like this.... One day, we decided to get another pet since we lived in the apartment at the time. First, my brother and I have to decide to go with guinea pigs or hamsters. One day, our neighbor call and said her kids have some hamster babies. I chose the female with a white band on her back that looked like a belt, and my brother chose the male with white spots on each of his sides. We named the two Lady and Frisky. Lady soon had a litter of 10 hamsters pups, and I kept one named Becky. Then, Becky later on had a litter of 14 hamster pups. I kept the cream female named Teddy. Lady was much of "the great Houdini" because she would try to get out of her cage. Ah, she lived another year of her life and eventually passed away. In summer of 1998, Frisky too died from old age. Those two will always be missed. :(
Becky
*Early 1996? - May 1998?*
The daughter of Lady and Frisky was Becky. And did resemble her father. She had two white spots the are on each side. She had a litter of 14, and I kept one of three cream-colored ones named Teddy. Teddy got lost and Becky was on her own. I think she got sick all of a sudden. When she died, the hall was full of horrible smell. Her cage, along with her dead body, was tossed out. She too will also be missed.
Joe & Kitty
*Kitty 1996? - 1998?* *Joe 1996? - May 1999*
These parakeets were our first pair of birds. Kitty was my brother's yellow bird, and Joe was my green and yellow bird. Kitty died something, I don't know. It kind of a mystery. After Kitty died, we went to Carolina Pet Center and got Kitty the II. Joe was happy again. In 1998, he died suddenly. He lived through his last day. After that, we went to PetLand a few weeks later to buy our fourth bird named JoJo. Kitty would not be alone, not at this time. Joe and Kitty will be missed.
Alexandra
*November 1997 - September 1998*
Alex was my very first rat. The story goes like this... I've been wanting another pet for awhile. And I was watching some animal shows on Animal Planet. I learn that rats are very nice pets to own. So I convinced my mom to get me one. It was very unexpected in December 6, 1997. I originally planned on getting the cage that day, and getting my rat next week! But Mom said, "Go ahead. pick out your rat." And the lady brought out three rats. I pick out the biggest one which happened to be a female. She had some gray spots and some white. Earlier in 1998, she had respiratory infection. We decided to spend more time with her and feed some fruit, and, of course, her regular food. Before she died, we got a friend for her named Ducky. Alexandra passed on in late September. She will still be missed by me. My first rat. :(
Ducky
*October 1998 - February 29, 2000*
Our sweet rat was Ducky. We bought her home in 1998 before my first rat Alex passed away. Ducky was sweeter than my first. She ran in the grass on a warm sunny day, ate fruits and vegetables unlike our first, and was curious. On some days when we go to Loan's Steakhouse and I would bring home some peanuts for her, and she would love them! When Ducky came down with respiratory disease like Alex, we had done all we can to keep her alive for a while. On February 29, 2000 I went to her cage to check on her and let Lillian out to play. I found her body placed in a wrong position and I knew something was up. I touched her body and it was cold and stiff. I knew she wasn't sleep; she was dead. My mom had a hard time dealing with the lost of Ducky. Ducky will most surely be missed. She was the sweetest rat we ever known. :(
Louise
*Unknown - March 2000*
Unfortunately, Louise was only with us for a short time before she passed away. She was probably sick before she had them rat babies (3 of them). After all of them didn't make it, Louise was very weak, and had no interest in food or water. She died on a Sunday. :(
Fuzzy
*August 1998 - May 4, 2000*
Sadly, my brother's hamster, Fuzzy, died on Thursday May 4th. Fuzzy was getting older, and he was going blind. After Fuzzy died, my brother, Michael, decided no more hamsters. He will be gratefully missed even though he wasn't a friendly hamster from the beginning.
