| 1985 | October - The Quinsam joined the BC Ferries fleet when the Ministry of Transportation and Highways salt water service joined BC Ferries. |
| 2000 | A leak in the hull of the Quinsam put her out of service for a few days, upsetting the commuters and people living on Gabriola Island. |
| 2002 | Spring - The Quinsam underwent a refit which included new engines and a new sewage treatment system. |
