At the age of 21, barely able to drink, our hero Cloud leads the life of a well-trained mercenary. As an ex-member of Shinra's elite fighting group, SOLDIER, Cloud's skills are high in demand. Cloud joins the team in the fight against Shinra by destroying reactors. This character works better on the front line, so that his sword doesn't get a bad name during the game. |

Limit Breaks
Level 1
Braver: Cloud jumps high into the air with a heavy chop that splits an enemy in two. Unless your facing a strong boss, this is probably your best level one limit break.
Cross-Slash: With several powerful slashes, Cloud causes lots of damage. If the enemy survives the attack, there is a chance of paralysis. It can't paralyze people that are normally immune to it, though.
Level 2
Blade Beam: Waves of energy glide towards one main enemy, hitting him hard, then splits out and hands out damage to the others. This isn't the best Limit Break for one enemy, but works well with multiples.
Climhazzard: Cloud sticks his sword into one enemy and then leaps high into the air to cause more damage. This is best used against a single opponent. Eventually, Blade Beam will become ineffective, but this limit can be used for most of the game.
Level 3
Meteorain: Cloud leaps into the air and then calls upon the power of Comet, causing four separate hits. This is best used against one enemy unless the foes are really weak.
Finishing Touch: Cloud spins his great sword, creating a whirlwind that sucks a group up opponents up and out of a battle. This will only cause bosses to fall back down, though, causing damage. Use Meteorain against them.
Level 4
Omnislash: Cloud assaults a group of enemies with a series of fifteen deadly blows. This is by far the best limit break of the game, and will normally kill your opponent, even bosses. This can sometimes even cause more damage than Knights of the Round.
