FF up the Ass Week 3 edition Another week is in the books, and yet again, we have more injuries to deal with. With that said, I'd have to say that everybody's roster is getting thin in one way or another....especially with Team Nookie leading the way. I'm sure that his season is complete though because he took down the trash talking Superior. On another note, my team sucks..... FF up the Ass canidates.....(stud performers) Thomas Jones: Is this guy turning into the next Priest Holmes? He's been consistant after the first three weeks and don't let that Rex Grossman injury put him down any. I have this guy in three leagues and I'm a believer baby. GO JONES! Peyton Manning: I seem to remember this in a game Manning had last year too. 5 TD's in the first half and then the second half he was shutdown. Thank god for those halftime adjustments otherwise the Packers could have gave up another 2 or 3 TD's. Jamal Lewis: Welcome back to stud status Lewis! It took a couple weeks but it looks like this guy is back. 2000 more yards rushing I think is quite a reach, but 1600 yards with 10-12 TD's is in the making for this guy this year. Donovan McSuck: No longer than can we call this guy Donovan McSuck when he puts up about three TD's every game. Too bad that Little Bastards just can't cash in on a win from this guy. Your time is coming LB's, don't give up quite yet! I bet JC was wishing that this guy could have done this for him last year..... Roy Williams: Our first rookie making the list this season. Don't think that it will be the last either as Harrington as finally found a go-to guy. 34 points is a pretty damn big week and I do beleive that this guy has what it takes to be a top 10 or 15 WR by the end of the year. Honorable Mention- Chris Brown- Another 100 yard week in the books.... Brett Favre- 4 TD's against a terrible defense, congrats.... Shaun Alexander- Nice bounce back from last weeks flop. Tony Gonzalez- The breakout week has come! Reggie Wayne- What a blow-up game he had! FF even further up the Ass candidates.....(Disappointing performers) Mike Vick- NOT a very good performance against Arizona. This guy had no TD's, and 3 giveaways to top it off. Am I missing something here? I thought Vick had that "West Coast offense" down pat? Steve McNair- Another disappointing week from McNair. His breakout week has to come sooner or later but it won't come next week as he's now injured. In fantasy land, McNair needs to ride that pine until he does something..... Kevan Barlow- This guy was just as pathetic as the rest of the offense last week. I do give credit to the Seahawks defense who has improved very much from last year. When you only have one stud on your team, you need to give him more than 12 touches in one game though. Chris Chambers- I guess we can blame his bad performance on Miami's QB...but then again, maybe we should blame it on the weather conditions as the field was under water all game. Anyone see any highlights of this game? Honorable mention: LaDainain Tomlinson- Not a normal game from this guy.... Plaxico Burress- What happened to that breakout season? Marshall Faulk- If it weren't for all his receptions, this guy would just stink. NFL injuries- They strike once again to Team Nookie's team. Comments from my leather computer chair..... ***When I score 152 points in one league and lose, something is definately wrong here. Talk about bad luck.....when I'm averaging 146 points a week and manage NOT to be 3-0, that would be a little bad luck. ***The only game I got to watch last week was the Monday night Parcells/Gibbs matchup. Boy was I surprised how many botched calls there was in this game. I guess it tops it all off when Rod Gardner can't get out of bounds on the last play to gave the Skins a chance at a tying field goal. ***Even though I like to see the Vikings win, I have a HUGE problem with that defense we have. Besides Thomas Jones, the Bears have nothing, and yet they seemed to be in the game for the most part throughout. It looks to me that last season has a little deja vu on this season....those rookies just can't get enough experience quick enough on defense I guess. ***Yet another week the Jags manage to put up a "W" with next to no offense. I guess that proves that great defenses CAN win in this league. One thing for sure is that at least the offense can produce when at absolutely needs to (3 wins, 3 come from behind victories). ***Boy was that Arizona/Atlnata game just ugly. The game had 7 turnovers between the teams. My personal thoughts are that neither team should have won and it would have been very fitting if this game ended in a tie. This game almost reminded me of the Proctor/Virginia game a few weeks ago.....BORING! ***Let's update everyone on how all of my fantasy teams are doing..... Viking Turnaround- I'm 2-1 and lead the league in scoring with 146 pts a game. BAFFL- I'm 3-0 in this league and again, lead the league in scoring at 139 pts a game. BIGFFBL- I suck....1-2 and am towards the bottom quarter in pts per game....92 Drobo League- I'm 2-1 and am second in the league in scoring with 126 pts a game FOFFB- I'm 2-1 and am second in the league in scoring with 129 a game. Bruce Ciskie Show- Yahoo autopick league..0-3 averging 94 a game. I think I am cursed in the BIGFFBL....why can I do so well in other leagues?? ***I can't let a week go by without an update on early kickers and early defenses. First kicker taken by JC.....he ups his record to 2-1 First defense taken by Team Nookie......1-2 after another injury to Garner. ***Lastly I will talk about my Survival Pool that I am in. Here are my picks for the first three weeks... Week 1- St. Louis (beat Arizona) Week 2- New Orleans (beat San Fran) Week 3- Seattle (beat San Fran) Anyone see a trend there......maybe I should pick against San Fran every week (or Arizona for that matter). Im still in the running for that 25 grand prize and there are less than 1000 people left in the pool. This weeks possiblities...... Philly at Chicago (-9) New York Jets at Miami Denver plays Tampa Bay New England plays Buffalo I like New England but divisional matchups is always a trap type game because these teams know each other so well, it's tough. Keep your fingers crossed for me in Week 4! |
