First edition of Jugs preseason rankings

After the draft, it's time to analyze the starters for every team and see how they stack up against the rest of the league.  What I complied, was projections for each player and how teams would score for their starting lineup each week.  Let's see how things came out.....

1.  Little Bastards
Potential starting lineup: McNabb, Fred Taylor, Brian Westbrook, Derrick Mason, Koren Robinson, Gonzo, Wilkens, St. Louis D
Comments: Gonzo is the real key to this team.  Having a top TE who will outscore every other player at his position is huge when we receive one point per reception.

2.  FFB Superior
Potential starting lineup: Bulger, Holmes, Barlow, Horn, Burress, Dallas Clark, Jason Hanson, Buffalo D
Comments: Jugs having two potential top 10 backs is what helps his team out in a huge way, especially when they can both catch the ball out of the backfield.

3.  Air JC
Potential starting lineup: Brady, Alexander, Jamal Lewis, Santana Moss, Steve Smith, Heap, Vanderjagt, Seattle D
Comments: JC having two top tier RB's really help out this squad.  JC will really be banking on Moss and Smith to repeat the breakout seasons that they both had last year. Can they perform at the same level?

4.  Sadidas 21ers
Potential starting lineup:  Pennington, Bennett, Kevin Jones, the #1 Moss, Stallworth, Shockey, Morten Andersen, Carolina D
Comments: Mikey is going to be hurt by Bennett being out for a while but having a top WR really helps out Mikey's overall output.

5.  Little Red Horse
Potential starting lineup:  Trent Green, McAllister, Curtis Martin, Holt, Andre Johnson, McMichael, Josh Brown, Philly D
Comments: Having a top tier receiver in a point per reception league I just can't say enough about.  Anyone ever heard of the Stud WR Theory?

6.  Flying Hellfish
Potential starting lineup:  McNair, Edgerrin James, Quentin Griffin, Harrison, Jimmy Smith, Gates, Stover, New England D
Comments: Very solid lineup here but the wild card will be what Griffin can produce throughout the year.  Let's also see how having two studs from the same team end up working out for the Fish.  (On another note, congrats on the new addition!)

7.  Team Goo
Potential starting lineup: Manning, Ahman Green, Henry, Coles, Chambers, Freddie Jones, Gramatica, Miami D
Comments:  Hopefully Coles' toe will hold up for Goo this season and Henry really needs to shake off McGahee real quick to make an impact.

8.  Team Juice
Potential starting lineup:  Aaron Brooks, Tomlinson, Barber, Moulds, Bruce, David Graham, Elam, Tampa Bay
Comments: Huge key for Juice will be the performances of Moulds and Bruce this season.  They need to bounce back in a huge way to compliment Tomlinson.

9.  Team Nookie
Potential starting lineup: Vick, Portis, Garner, Darrell Jackson, Charles Rogers, Winslow, Nedney, Baltimore D
Comments:  Vick's hammy needs to hold up for a full season along with Portis being able to succeed with a new team in order to move up these rankings.  Average WR's at best here and Nookie needs them to break out.

10.  Fat British Pigeons
Potential starting lineup: Brad Johnson, Dom Davis, Faulk, Chad Johnson, Javon Walker, Boo Williams, Longwell, Minnesota D
Comments: I'll tell you right now that the key to this team will be if Walker can live up to all the hype, along with Faulk being able to produce.

11.  Team Tang
Potential starting lineup: Culpepper, Rudi Johnson, Staley, Hines Ward, Rod Smith, L.J. Smith, Vinitieri, Atlanta D
Comments: Culpepper will get his points but Tang needs his first round pick Rudi Johnson to prove that he's an every day back.

12.  Wong's LD's
Potential starting lineup: Garcia, Dillon, Thomas Jones, Owens, Price, Crumpler, Akers, Dallas D
Comments: Wong rounds out the preseason rankings as dead last, I guess this is fitting since he obviously got stuck keeping the worst player (as compared to other keepers that is).
